I would have probably started with Splatoon 2 back in 2017 if I didn't get into other games but at least it means I didn't have to play Machine with Splashdown.

I got the first game late 2015 so just over 8 years. Bug I've only been in the comp scene for around 10 months.

i only played splatoon 1 at a friend’s house
i got splatoon 2 when it first came out, i played it in the beginning of its life and the end
i got splatoon 3 because it looked so good from the trailers and then found out they lied to us about the maps and SPLASH WOULD HAVE HAD ZIPCASTER!!!!!!!!!
i have like 900 hours in 3 and i forgor how many in 2

Consistently, I've only been playing since Splat3's testfire (End of August 2022, after which I borrowed my housemates copy of 2 to tide me over until 3's actual release). I did play briefly in 2015 when the first game came out, enough to fall in love with it, but I just wasn't ready to play PvP games at that point in my life, hah.

I don't remember exactly, but it was around 2014-2015 that I started playing Splatoon, and have been playing the series ever since.

I was able to start playing maybe a week or a month before I made an account here. So looking at the date on my profile.. uh.. Mid 2016 ish.

Been playingsince splatoon 1 and haven't really stopped ever since.

I knew of the series since like 2016-early 2017 or so but didn't start until Christmas 2017 (iirc) when I got Splat2. Played it on and off for about a year until I finally played Octo Expansion for the first time around October 2018 and it permanently rewired my brain cells. havent stopped since.

I don't have a concrete number since my memory is hazy but I think I played Splatoon 1 for under 100 hours(mostly solo + playing with my siblings, it was a day 1 buy from my fam though, literally got up at like 6 in the morning to stop by Target and buy the amiibos and game asap) Splat 2 125ish, mostly because during my HS days my fam locked my switch to 2 hours a day so I naturally fell off the game, then Splat 3 atm is 510 hours

lots n lots of big breaks inbetween games and formats
