Personally, I think I'd want a game somewhere between S2 and S3. S3 definitely feels like it has outpaced my ability to keep up, and that has contributed a lot (along with the map design) to relegating most of my playtime to Side Order.

Yeah, speed is fun, but there is definitely such a thing where keeping up is so difficult that it no longer is fun.

While Splatoon 3 mechanically has always felt slightly faster to me ever since the test fire, I wouldn't call it too fast paced. Sure, there is less room to breathe, but it's more fun than sitting around to farm special. Some of my personal favorite weapons like Stamper are great because they're aggressive and want to go for kills. If a special like ink armor were in Splatoon 3, blasters, brellas, and splatanas would be much worse since teams could just farm for armor. Sure, it would be nice if there was a slight bit more downtime, but the fast pace of Splatoon 3 is what makes it fun. It's much better when you think back to early Splatoon 3, since the dominant comp was double/triple Splash+vMachine.
Imagine: Splatoon 2 But:

Tenta Missile replaced with Chumps
Ink Armor Replaced with B. Bubbler
Stingray replaced with Crab

MPU replaced with IA
It has Cooler but nerfed

and the new weapons added

Perfect splatoon...

I got addicted to the first game because it was so much fun but Splatoon 3 sucks. You have to attack and cannot be an ambush hunter like I was. Also the levels are too small. I mean there's a lot of open area but we can't go there.

It's not that Splatoon 3 is too fast-paced, but that the maps are too small without enough routes. You're constantly running into opponents as a result, meaning you're in a firefight for far more of the match than Splatoon 1 or 2. Being in firefights constantly is tiring, resulting in quicker fatigue from playing. It's chaotic, which was the theme for the game. I assume the developers thought that smaller maps would result in more chaotic games, and they were right, but complete chaos isn't always fun.

So yes, Splatoon 3 is definitely more draining to play than Splatoon 1 or 2. While some of this may be to me being in my late 20s, I just can't stomach playing Splatoon 3 for as long as the first two. Those I could play for an hours straight; Splatoon 3 knocks me out in around 30 minutes.

I have a theory. Since Splatoon three was based off chaos, I think it's supposed to be very chaotic and fast paced because that's what it was supposed to be. I also feel like Splatoon one, and two ink colors Are a lot less vibrant than the current ones which makes Splatoon three a bit painful to play

Y'all notice that bigger and brighter hats match your ink hue? Splatoon uses color contrast to distinguish sides of the battle (team recognition) in very graceful ways, and it's good that the in-game hair tip colors are highly desaturated and a constant respective complementary, to avoid confusing players. I don't like that Splatoon 3's ink colors are less saturated; the lime color seems like guacamole, and ink can somewhat blend in with grass, dirt, or sandstone.
