I think it’s still possible that they’ll eventually try to extend content for Splatoon 3 as the playerbase moves over to the switch 2 (we won’t).

Yeah I don't think anyone is gonna buy a switch 2 just to use it to play splatoon 3 with higher fps and better graphics. Plus you would probably have to start the game from the beginning again.

Would you honestly switch from motion to mouse at this point? We don't even know for sure yet how mouse aiming would work when you still need to use the buttons on the controller.

I don't think switching to mouse aim is mandatory if you're already adjusted to motion. I've seen people do some crazy stuff with motion as is, it's really not gonna end up too far behind mouse

Yep! The bigger thing with mouse is that it allows a more familiar control scheme to be available for those with experienced with mouse and keyboard. And if the game is marketed we'll to that group of people (it never has been) then it would be huge for getting Splatoon played by people getting the console for other games, particularly the Duskbloods.

Playing Splatoon with mouse controls (especially with a joy con instead of an actual mouse) for me would probably he super hard to learn idk maybe yall are just built different

I mean I can’t imagine them locking multiplayer content like 3rd kits behind paid DLC. I could see them adding a new single player campaign and mouse controls and making the performance better tho.

My conspiracy theory is that they're planning two more waves of DLC for the Switch 2 Splatoon 3 and always have been, based on the four banner colors of the original DLC reveal trailer and us only getting two DLCs so far.

Anything multiplayer related like third kits will come as an update to both the Sw1 and Sw2 versions of the game. Even if they only made third kits available in the Sw2 version, their data would need to be in the Sw1 version for crossplay. I would expect they save the implementation of mouse controls for Sp4 also for crossplay purposes.

uh, what other DLCs? And my brother said that they aren't going to make a Splatoon 4 (Do you even believe that ****). My theory on S4 is that Nintendo Is going to wait for Splatfests to end here on S3 because if you paid close attention on the theme for grand fest (Past present or future) you would see that we are going to the past, so that means if S4 is really going to be an actual thing then we are going back to Inkopolis( possibly somewhere else than Inkopolis plaza or Inkopolis square tho) but anything can change at a giving time, remember though, this is just my theory, things can take a whole different turn here, so we just need to continue hoping that Nintendo creates S4 and then we will have an excuse to get the Switch 2 (even tho I already have an excuse to get one)
