The two songs i like to listen to when playing Splatoon are "This is War" by Thirty Seconds to Mars, and "Free Bird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd (the 4 minute guitar solo just makes turf war that much more badass :P ).

It really feels like a song that would definitely slot into the soundtrack. The muffled vocals (sorry Japan, but please) pumped intro and fast paced guitars make for a really refreshing battle theme. Other than that, various RPG battle themes. I just like to over-exaggerate Ranked or whatsoever so I have much more motivation and focus to accomplish whatever I'm trying to do! (examples include FFX Battle Theme Orchestrated, some Pokemon Champion themes and suitably, the Elite Four themes!)
