This time around it's "I want to get FIT in 2016" versus "I want to get RICH in 2016".

I know it's supposed to be a new year's theme, but what??
This sounds kind of an even theme for me.

You beat me to it lol,

Why can't give Nintendon't give the poor Europeans a good splatfest for once ;-;

Anyway, getting rich = getting experienced personal trainers to make you fit, so Team Rich for me

Fit! It's more achievable, and it is my genuine goal anyway because I used to be extremely fit but then got sick and injured, and now I'm well enough to start exercising again.

Love vs Money: Male edition.

But on a series note, you remember when Japan had Love vs Money? Think of it as this:

Fitness vs Money.

Now i'm probably going to go with fitness purely based on the facts that:

1) I'm not so fit, lol. (Would still run for buses though)
2) A lot of people want Money
3) Japan splatfest lost on the Money side due to Love having more wins.

So I ask that you join me and Git Fit!

I'm not in Europe so I won't get to vote, but I think I'd go for money. I'm not really fit, but I wouldn't consider myself out of shape, and there is so many things I could do with money.

I think it's a pretty decent one actually. It's not Pizza vs Pizza lol.
It's actually a pretty good splatfest I feel. I anticipate Rich being the highly populated of the two. For pretty obvious reasons lol.

Well, that theme is certainly something. I'd go for being rich because I'm not too concerned about fitness or getting swole, just my general health and well-being.

And, Marie reps Money again. =P

Hey, this splatfest isn't so bad, right?

I'd honestly have to go with fit on this one. Fortunately I'm not in Europe so I don't have to betray Marie. ^^

...Bah. I accidentally voted rich for some bizarre reason. O_o

In the Japanese Love vs Money, I would pick Love because I am married to a wonderful husband and I would not have it any other way.

For Fit vs Rich, I consider myself already Fit so I would vote for Rich here. I am not European though.

I'd go for Rich if I was an EU player. I'm already decently fit anyways.

Also, I like how Marie's thinking.

I'm not European, but I'd pick "Rich" immediately. Getting fit is expensive if you want to be efficient about it, and staying fit is even more expensive! It's trendy right now to be fit (which is good), but that means equipment is expensive, gym memberships are expensive, and healthy food costs like twice as much as fatty foods! Not to mention how deceptive healthy-looking foods can be. (Fun fact: A 6-inch plain tuna sandwich on wheat bread at Subway has more calories and more fat in it than a Big Mac. Don't be fooled!)

Remember the days when the salad was the least expensive thing on the menu at Carls' Jr./Hardee's or Wendy's?

Does Europe even care about money? A lot of socialists there have sapped that drive from a lot of folks.
The economic crisis has brought the love of money back in a lot of countries though. That being said, there are definitely a lot of pockets of socialism in North America too. I went to college in a town with a lot of loud and outspoken socialists. (I personally don't see much wrong with socialism, but only on paper. In practice, it requires total cooperation from everyone in a community for it to function. One selfish jerk can bring down an entire socialist community, just like with communism or anarchism.)

Yeah, I feel like they were more or less trying to go for a "health vs. wealth" type of thing here, but you're right in that getting rich would help a great deal in getting fit as well... so logically that would probably be the wiser option.

But "getting rich" seems like an odd new year's resolution anyway. It's more like what you'd wish for should you encounter a genie.
