Should I stop using motion controls if I ever want to have a chance of maximizing my potential?

I'm pretty certain motion controls are a distinct competitive advantage. Not as much as using a mouse would be, but it's certainly more similar to using a mouse than using a thumbstick. You have a larger range of motion and movement of the motion controls maps to movement of your aiming reticle as opposed to mapping to acceleration of movement as it does with a thumbstick. I initially scoffed at motion controls, found myself getting trumped in one-v-ones I should have been winning and realized I needed to get the hang of motion controls.
