As I have just finished up clearing all Side Order palettes hackless, all monochrome color runs, a drone only run, and of course, most importantly, a Pearlina run, I've decided to make a tierlist of what I feel to be the most useful but also just generally my favorite chips. I tried to keep this specifically in terms of how I felt about them in hackless runs, as thats when chip choices felt so much more vital and I had to choose carefully both what chips I wanted and what floors I felt I could take. That said, BECAUSE I was thinking in terms of hackless, the Drone Inkstrike/Ink Mine/Burst Bomb/Items/Sprinkler chips weren't available to me, only Drone Splat Bomb/Killer Wail were, so I rated those just on how I felt about them in my casual runs.

For tier explanations, I'd put them as such:

S tier: I will actively go out of my way to get these. These can completely make or break a run, and no matter the build or weapon, they will be beneficial. I'd even be willing to take danger floors or floors I'm otherwise very bad at, such as Unreasonable Mountain Battlefield (Ascent) or Eternally Vigilant Soaker Blockade. There is rarely a situation in which I will pass up on these chips

A tier: Very good, and I will never be mad at getting these. There's some where that are more valuable than others, but it's never bad to get any of these chips. There are even situations in which I'd be willing to pass over an S tier for one, but that depends a lot on my current build or the weapon I'm using. These and S tier are the ones I'm most likely going to try and stack

B tier: Not bad, and similar to A tier, there's definitely ones of higher value than others in there, but ultimately almost all of these are ones where I won't be mad to take them, but I wish they were something else. Some are also very build dependent, such as the Splash Radius and Splash Damage, where they'll be good regardless, but frequently not worth it unless I have a special that benefits from them, or am taking a lot of portal floors

C tier: I don't really want these. The majority of them are too reliant on build, Rush Attack and Rush Knockback I'd put in S tier only if we're talking about Brush, other than that... I never pick them up. Same with Sound Wave Damage, if I'm doing a very drone heavy build and have already invested a lot into Drone Killer Wail, or am using Killer Wail myself and don't plan to change it, it's really beneficial, but overall... not worth it. I'm only taking these if I have a build made for them, or the other floors with better options are too difficult.

D tier: I am only ever picking these up if I have to. I've never chosen any of these willingly, they're solely chosen if I'm in a position where I feel like all other floors with better chips aren't worth risking my run over.

With that, I ask what y'alls opinions are? Anything you think I'm sleeping on, or think I've moved too high? Here's the Tiermaker I used if you want to make one yourself!

There are a couple things I think should be moved up or down a tier, but most of them I would put in the same spot you did.

I think that squid attack has some uses. It's the only attack that I know of that doesn't require ink, which makes it really nice for escaping since it basically gives you complete invulnerability during squid rolls. I'd put it in A.

However by far the most important one here is that midfire charge is absolutely S tier, no question. The order splatling charges like heavy, meaning the second ring charges faster but lets you fire the same amount. With midfire charge, you can get the second charge ring over and over again, meaning you hardly spend any time charging. If you have charge storage as well, you might not have to charge the first ring more than once in an entire floor.

I just finished all of Side Order recently so here's my ranking of every chip in the game.
My rankings are partially based on what I enjoy having but they're also ranked by how important each chip will be to any run even if I only equip one of them.
I'll give some general explanations on the tiers.

1st & 2nd tier: These are the chips that will help me the most for any weapon I'm playing and will also usually be the difference between dying or actually being able to complete the objective. The Poison Ink, Sticky Ink, and Hindrance Damage chips are at the top for how how useful they are while only needing one of each to significantly benefit from them. They also all work amazingly together and make it easier to deal with some of the harder floors later on that will have you fighting against hordes of enemies. There's almost never a run that I don't get at least two of them. Main Firing Speed chip is also amazing since every weapon starts out with an extremely slow fire rate that will be a big problem for some objectives and killing enemies when you get crowded. Overall, the chips in these tiers all work perfect together and are available to every weapon.

3rd tier: The only reason I don't have these listed higher is because they're exclusive to a few weapons. Besides that, they are still really important with the Horizontal-Slash Speed and Quick Charge chips definitely being the best in the tier.

4th tier: The chips in this tier are really good and I would certainly never complain about having to pick one of them for a floor but if there's something from the higher tiers that I have the option to get to instead then I would most likely just choose that. Some of the chips here also have the problem of needing to stack more of them to really benefit from what they provide.

5th tier: Another weapon exclusive tier but I don't think these chips are as useful as the previous ones. They're still good to have though with some of them also getting better when paired up with other chips but I'll mainly only pick them if I have a specific type of build in mind or I just don't want to waste membux to try and get something else.

6th & 7th tier: As the names of these both tiers suggest, I don't really think the chips here are anything special. They're fine and do what they're supposed to do well enough but this is just another case of only picking these chips if I want to for fun or if I just don't want to waste any membux.

8th, 9th, & 10th tier: These are the chips I would most likely avoid picking except for very specific situations which will rarely ever come up. I especially don't have a high opinion on Brella Cooldown just for the fact that I've never found a situation where I needed to launch it and it also becomes even less useful if you have No-Launch Brella equipped. Rush Ink Coverage is also not that great since you could just increase your main weapons paint and cover an area much faster without exposing yourself. Lastly, I NEVER want the Sound-Wave Damage chip. It does increase the damage of Wave Breaker and Killer Wail 5.1 (including Pearl Drone) but increasing the damage of two very weak specials that I would have replaced with something else anyway makes the chip completely useless to me. Despite my personal feelings about the chip from my own experiences, I would still say it belongs in the lower half of any Side Order chip tier list.

11th tier: I really didn't know where to place this chip since I never use it. I don't even think it would be that bad but I just don't need it since I can aim my shots myself. There's also the issue with taking away some control from your main weapon making it harder to easily transition between painting and shooting. I know it can still be useful for charger runs though but personally, I still never pick it.

Brella cooldown makes me SAD.
Your shield never gets broken, it takes forever to launch, you need rush ink coverage and rush damage chips for it to even be good, and IT DOESN'T EVEN STACK WELL (you gain half a second per chip. HALF A SECOND).

Not to mention, if you take no launch brella, all your precious chips become useless, oh.

I didn't even need to play Brella for more than one run for me to realize how useless the Brella Cooldown chip was.
Even without talking about how poorly the chip stacks, I can count the amount of times my shield has broken during an Order Brella run with one hand.
I wish they chose something more fun and unique as a weapon exclusive chip for Order Brella.
Maybe a way to increase the shield size or give you multiple brella shields to work with?
There's just a lot of missed potential.

Yeah though admittedly I get why it's bad, there's not much else they could have done.

Shield HP would be boring, faster hield launch time wouldn't be good unless you have shield cooldown, bigger shield would be hella jank but I WISH... it's hard to come up with something. I do really like no launch brella though!
