Ok, so, I’m making these predictions with the assumptions that we are not getting any new seasons past Sizzle ‘24 (I know there’s evidence to suggest that there might be content extensions, but I’m electing to ignore it, because I don’t wanna be wrong), and that there’s gonna be two new mains for the Stringer and Splatana classes respectively, and every main weapon needs a second kit. Also, these are predictions first, and cope second, so I’m making these kits sorta like how the devs would maybe (i.e. prioritizing sub/special distribution).
I like trying to read the devs’ minds, and making conspiracy theories at the expense of my own productivity and mental sanity. For every one of these predictions I get wrong, I will literally breath air. The stakes are high.
- Bamboozler 14 Mk II - Toxic Mist / Booyah Bomb
Bamboo Mk II got Disruptor in S1, got Mist in S2, and I wanna keep the tradition of utility subs that come in glass bottles alive and well with S3.
Booyah hasn't been on any Chargers yet, in either game Booyah was in, and it’d work decent with Bamboo’s playstyle of walling people out with threatening chip damage. It’s only on 6 weapons right now, so…

- Custom Hydra Splatling - Splat Bomb / Tenta Missiles (I got kinda lazy w/ this)
So my initial prediction for Hydra was for it to get Ink Mine, which it is likely to get, but they gave Ballpoint Nouveau mine (instead of beakon), and they haven’t given any Splatlings Splat Bomb yet, and the vHydra got it in S1, so there is some precedent.
When it comes to Missiles, no Splatling has it yet, it’s only on 5 weapons and the devs probably wanna put on one more thing, Hydra can’t really spam it all that well and the lethal bomb it has is pretty expensive on an ink hungry main, and I didn’t want to put Missiles on any of the other weapons that I’m making made up kits for.

- Heavy Edit long name Nouveau - Toxic Mist / Triple Inkstrike
Toxic Mist is unique as it’s one of four subs that is only on 6 weapons (not counting reskins or scopes), and of those subs, it is the only one that is not a bomb, and thus makes it the best candidate to be on more than one weapon this season. Mist could synergize well with Hedit, as it’s a Splatling, so it spends more time charging its shots than it does using its sub (I think, idk, I don’t main this thing).
Triple Inkstrike hasn’t been added to a new weapon since Fresh Season ‘23 (Neo Splash & ZF Charger), and it isn’t on any Splatlings yet, and it might be good on Hedit, as it probably stands back a bit and wouldn’t hurt from TriStrike’s lack of mobility (and the fact that Hedit’s a Splatling might help that, because of the extra Run Speed that most Splatlings run).

- Custom Douser Dualies FF - Torpedo / Inkjet
Torpedo of this kit functions as a foil to the vanilla kit’s Ink Mine. While mines are hidden in the ink on the ground and gives location and chip damage to anyone the happens to step on it, Torpedos are thrown in the air and gives location and chip damage to anyone that is hidden in grounded ink.
Fun Fact: Did you know that there are currently no Dualies with Inkjet yet? Insane considering that Dualies (as a class) inherently synergize well with the special’s recall, and the last Inkjet weapon was added in Drizzle Season ‘23, and there are only 5 Inkjet weapons in the game, but the Dousers are probably just the best Dualies to get Inkjet (after the Splat Dualies and Glooga Dualies that both got Inkjet on one of their kits in S2).
If this kit existed it would have the same sub/special combo as the Rapid Deco, but since that’s an AoE Blaster and not a Dualie with the ability to dodge roll, it should probably be fine.

- Recycled Brella 24 Mk II - Torpedo / Super Chump
Torpedo is one of the other unique subs to currently be on only 6 weapons, and could also maybe be on two weapons in one season because the other two (Burst & Fizzy) were on meta weapons during crab meta and Torpedo wasn’t really. Torp on Recycled Brella could be used as the user is launching its shield and going for an aggressive play, dealing chip damage and making it easier to get a splat. It’d also be funny if Undercover’s other sub got put on another Brella (Ink Mine from Vunder was put on Sorella Tent).
The forgotten special, Super Chump, would help the main weapon’s lack of paint, contributing turf coverage to the match that was lacking with the vanilla kit. The chumps themselves would also have some synergy with the main, a Recycled Brella user launching the shield and following it as the Chumps land around the enemy, the launched canopy along the chumps providing several mini meat shields along with potentially extra chip damage.

- Custom Range Blaster - Splat Bomb / Kraken Royale
C’mon, S1 reference kit, the devs love these things. Splat Bomb is currently on 9 weapons (not counting reskins or scopes), so adding two splomb weapons would put the sub over the edge, making it the most plentiful sub weapon in this game at 11 weapons.
S1 reference kit. Every Kraken Royale weapon has been a reference kit, having the same sub weapon as its S1 Kraken counterpart (with the exception of Blob Deco, for some reason).

- New Heavy Stringer - Ink Mine / Crab Tank & Burst Bomb / Splattercolor Screen (ugh)
The new Stringer will most likely be the Stringer equivalent to the E-liter or the Hydra, a heavy, slow, and powerful weapon with a lotta range. The entries on the new mains are gonna be a lot less in-depth, due to the fact that these weapons do not exist, and may not be actually coming to the game.
Ink Mine isn’t on any Stringer yet and since it synergizes well with liter, and could potentially have some neat combos. Crab Tank isn’t on any back-liners yet, it’s only on 5 weapons, and it would be unlikely for the devs to add a new Crab weapon to the game with a bomb.
The devs can’t ignore Burst Bomb forever, it’s only on 6 weapons, none of them are backlines (maybe for good reason idk), and no Stringer has burst yet. The devs are obligated to put Screen on something, and since Stringers can arch their shots over walls, the special could maybe have some synergy with the main. There could also be some combos with the special, depending on damage numbers, but idk screen sucks.

- New Splatana - Fizzy Bomb / Triple Splashdown & Angle Shooter / Ink Storm
The new Splatana is looking like it’s gonna be a heavy Splatana, the Painbrush or the Dynamo of the Splatana class. But even if it isn’t that, it wouldn’t change my philosophy in the kit design as I’m taking cues from the two other Splatanas.
The first kit is a more aggressive fight-centric kit, with a bomb as the sub and a special meant to be used up-close. Fizzy was chosen because it’s the final of the four subs that’s only on 6 kits, and the other Splatanas got all three of the others (Torp, Burst, & Mist), so Fizzy has to be here. Fizzy also synergizes well with the special, as you can paint a trail towards an enemy, swim up and activate the Splashdown, and if they manage to escape, throw a Fizzy to finish them off. Splashdown is obligated to be on something, and this was probs the best option.
The second kit is more supportive, with a utility sub and a special that is used best from a distance. Angle Shooter can be used as a combo tool (if your aim if perfect), and the line from can still mark enemies, even if you miss. Right now, the special that is on the most amount of weapons (not counting reskins or scopes) is Killer Wail 5.1, which is on 8 weapons. Giving this new Splatana Ink Storm would make it so Wail is not alone at the top, and roughly keep the pattern of giving the second Splatana kits the more supportive kit. This also shares the same sub/special combo as the Big Swig Roller Express.
