I think that everyone can see Squid Beacons in the gamepad, but I haven't been able to confirm if there's any requirements for them to appear o_OThe Neo Sploosh on the other hand gives you a sub that doesn't deal any damage and alerts your opponent to your presence and a special that results in the Sploosh having no options to combat distant foes with whatsoever (not to mention the Kraken recently got nerfed again).
The neo sploosh comes with point sensors and kraken. So I believe above is talking about the sound and 'explosion' that point sensors do that would alert the enemy your near by. Hitting someone with a point sensor is gonna put them on alert more anyways and you want to sneak up on them with the sploosh so yea.I think that everyone can see Squid Beacons in the gamepad, but I haven't been able to confirm if there's any requirements for them to appear o_O
Exactly. You're not going to put a Beakon right near somebody and after you place it you'll be long gone by the time someone reaches your Beakon (so the "last I checked people can see your Beakons on the Gamepad" argument really doesn't mean anything in practice). Point Sensors force you to engage opponents and as I said before, they can't hurt anyone. As a Sploosh you'll only want to engage someone if you are certain that you can take them out immediately. The neo sploosh comes with point sensors and kraken. This kit is better on the Heavy splatling.
The original Sploosh has no business with long range opponents anyway. The Kraken amplifies its core strength: being close and being scary. Not sure why you think this kit makes it weaker.A special that results in the Sploosh having no options to combat distant foes with whatsoever (not to mention the Kraken recently got nerfed again).
It doesn't strike me as a weapon that addresses the Sploosh's weaknesses and in fact takes away from its strengths too.
The Sploosh is a stealth weapon. The Neo Sploosh's kit is more fitted for being out in the open, which is not where the Sploosh wants to be. There's really not many other ways I can say this. If they really wanted the Sploosh to combat people out in the open, they'd give it some bombs, a Splash Wall or more range. The last one of those would make it not a Sploosh anymore.Literally anything is better than Beakons. As far as being proactive, the Point Sensor is a HUGE upgrade.

They do the exact opposite by making you stop at mid-range to chuck one and then becoming un-scary because you just blew your cover. Kraken may be the better special for the Sploosh (though I'd be more inclined to believe that if they gave the Neo Sploosh a bomb), but when I say the Neo looks to have a weaker kit, I mean both the sub and the special.being close and being scary
I mean if you're into the Nozzlenoses you already have... uhm, unique tastes and there's little helping you. :pI'll bring this thing up to 10k turf inked, but can't see myself using it beyond that. When I want to use a run and gun weapon with an invincibility special, the L3D is who I turn to!
The Sploosh is never going to be a frontline-man and the Point Sensor shouldn't change that. I doubt it'll suddenly encourage out-and-open play. Your other option is going back to passively placing Beakons around. You're never forced to use the sub and reveal yourself in tight situations. (Not like Beakons helped in that situation either? Again, not seeing how this different option makes it inferior.) If a Sploosh takes this sub as an excuse to be on the front lines, I see this as player error and not an inherent problem with the kit.The Sploosh is a stealth weapon. Doesn't that describe tentatek pretty well though? It's not particularly great at anything, but it's not really bad at anything and is extremely adaptable and that's what makes it so good.A jack of all trades, master of none never ends up being the best weapon/character/class/whatever in a competitive game
I use pretty much all weapons foo! xPI mean if you're into the Nozzlenoses you already have... uhm, unique tastes and there's little helping you. :p
