For the next three matches though, she deliberately targeted me and I swear it felt like she was following me. o_O She was killing me every couple of seconds even if I took a different route completely. When we were on the same team, she literally did not do a thing for the team. I just gave up and left the lobby because I was so done with that.
I haven't experienced something like that, fortunately. However, I think my instinct after coming across a player that childish in Turf War would be to simply dial up the sodium intake. Be a hard to hit squidbagging target while they're aiming at you as an opponent; stick around 'em when they decide to be useless as your teammate. Give 'em a little dare.

Salted squid is a delicacy, and by gawd I'm gonna enjoy it for all its worth!

Counter-play is a very important thing to have in multiplayer games, and while Splatoon has a good amount of counter-play already, chargers remain one of the strongest weapons in the game because of nearly no flaws. The only way to counter a charger is with another charger, and this applies to nearly every map (the only exception is Port Mackerel).

No good counter-play for chargers turn off a lot of people from playing. So it's not really surprising someone didn't like you because they were completely unable to do anything to you.

This would be correct, if the only map in the game was Moray Towers and every sniper only used E - Liters. I don't know how high your level of play is, but I can assure you, a good gank can put ANY sniper down. Sometime's it only takes one death, to shut down a sniper. Bombs and Inkzooka's can always keep them in check; the latter being increasingly harder to activate. The Jet Squelcher can also do extremely well against the non - E - Liters by threatening them with its monstrous range and even kill them. People using the #LulBurstBombBuild can out range snipers that aren't the E - Liter and make them look like morons. So to say there is no counter-play is hardly truthful.

If you want to talk about something that has no counter-play, talk about echolocator.

Inkstrikes and Killer Wails can also do a great job at taking snipers off their perchs and into unfavorable positions for you and your team to move in. And a well placed Splash Wall can give you a precious safe area for you to close the gap or mess with their game.

Echolocator is truly a strange weapon. Definitely the least flashy of them all, and it probably won't save your butt in a desperate emergency, but it has a surprising ability to mess with an entire team. Unless one of them decided to equip themselves with Cold-Blooded, of course.

Killer Wail? Inkzooka? Bombs? Maybe even a well placed inkstrike is a pretty good countermeasure if you ask me. I'm not the best sniper, I'd say I'm mediocre at best, but I've seen some of the best snipers get taken out by players staying out of their range and double teaming them or taking em out with an inkzooka.

Ahh. Forget about what I said in my last reply to you. Seems like a few others got the ideas I said before me xp

No talk about the Squiffers? .... then again, their short range makes them easier to take down i guess xD (Edit) And it doesn't really classify them as "Snipers"as well

For me, being flick sniped is probably the worst thing that can happen and probably the only thing i'd get frustrated about chargers. It's like "What in the world hit me?" Then i see my killer being an E-litre, which i never saw any laser from, but he/she did it. Just proves you always need to be on guard huh?

But i do love it when i dodge their fire. Especially Gyro/motion control users, so whenever i do find myself under fire from a charger and it's just me and the charger, i try and approach while moving around like and idiot and jump here and there, swim there and here, and then harrass them myself with the Rapid Deco or Custom Range blaster provided i didn't get splatted myself.

Squiffers are just an entirely different role, and aren't typically played as much as the others.

I've had stupid times where I've gone 13/0 with the Squiffer, but nobody's ever been noticeably salty because of my using it.

It can and will get to the point here people will have had enough of you and will strive to solely take you out of the game (even ignoring objectives) from their point of view that means you've done a good job.

Of course if he took it that far i'd honestly just leave and block him, if he doesn't know how to handle chargers than that's his lack of skill.

I've had an instance on tower control (actually have the match uploaded currently in private) where a Kc member pretty much wanted to get rid of me because I quashed his advances so many times.

It sometimes makes me guilty, but I often make my move while the sniper is aiming at my teammates. At least I usually take the time to take my Inkbrush to them and either splat them or flush them from their positions.
do not feel guilty that is the best way to take us out I main a e-liter and that is 90% of how I die (other 10% in inkzookas)

As for salty players i'm sure I make a ton of people salty (because i'm good with burst bombs) but I tend to not pay attention to peoples names because I only know one guy but it is AMAZINGLY frustrating when you have a clear shot and someone gets in your way thus blocking the shot and getting you both killed

try using cold blooded, it's a super good ability. It can be found on the Sky Blue Squid Eye, Dark Urban Vest, and Octo Tee. Not sure about others tho.
I always use it? I main the dough roller bro.
That doesn't change the fact there is no real counter-play to Echo.
