.96 Gal Deco for Tower Control. Splash Wall is the best sub for the mode since it stops the tower and can used defensively if you're riding it. Along with Kraken it makes the 96 Deco the best tower rider in the game period.

Rainmaker and Splatzones are more influenced by map.

For Rainmaker I usually I like something that can break the shield without hassle. Sploosh is good for that as are the Aerosprays. Seekers and other bombs are useful. On Camp Triggerfish you can actually send TWO at the shield right at the start (amazing).

Splatzones... I think any things game.

Personally, I think people really underestimate how much of a beast the Inkbrush Nouveau can be on Tower Control. Of course, that may be one of the hardest, if not the hardest, weapons in the game, but when used right, that may be the best weapon for defending the Tower out of all. It has everything needed to keep the other team from taking it over, the main weapon (knockback), Inkmines (bait), and Bubbler (defense, shared with all nearby team members). But I've seen people who are really good at this weapon just dominate in Tower Control in general. If anyone is willing to learn this weapon and main it, this is certainly a reason to do so.

Except range. The kit of Inkmines + Bubbler is a great Tower Control kit, but the brush's range leaves you hopeless to incoming opponents.

The 96 Gal is much better.

Yeah but Kraken doesn't help the whole team, which is why I prefer a Bubbler on my team (I'm bad with both lol). And ideally, one would never use the IBN without being brave about approaches.

If you go Kraken on the tower when the other team tries to get on and take it over, you will scatter Inklings like chickens. Your ranged supporters/defense players can then take them out while they're more worried about the Kraken than his teammates. If they don't scatter, the Kraken can kill most/all of them and give your team a few seconds of reprieve. It's an excellent trump card if the other team is rushing the tower all at once. If you have a couple of Sixers with Kraken charged up, that works even better because you know after the first Kraken wipe, they'll likely try another team rush so the second Sixer can pull off a second Kraken wipe and buy even more time.

Some people like the Luna Blaster for tower control. It's fast and covers the entire tower with each shot, and its short range is compensated by the tower's predictable path. The tower is also a permanent corner to shoot around. Ink mines and splat bombs are decent there.

I'm not kidding when I typically see 2-3 Lunas in an S rank TC match. And I don't play blasters.

Splat zone: Custom dual squelcher
Rain maker: sloshed/.52 gal deco
Tower control: varies a lot on how I'm feeling and The stage.

For me, blasters are really great there. But more as a defending tool, to keep the enemy away or off the tower due to their blast radius.

Anything with Killer Wail seems to do great in Rainmaker mode for obvious reasons.

In Turf Wars, since the objective is covering turf, I would say the Aerosprays. They spray ink fast, they recover ink fast. Conversely, the worst weapons would probably be the E-Liters, since they have poor ink recovery, and poor ink coverage.

In Splat Zones, I would probably guess the Dynamo Rollers. They cover tons of ink in a short burst, basically an Inkstrike each stroke. Also, any weapons with Inkstrike are viable in Splat Zones due to their guaranteed ink coverage. Typically in Splat Zones, people keep their distances while covering specific terf, so some of the worst weapons to use for this mode would be weapons with small ranges and poor ink coverage, such as Blasters. Aerosprays are difficult to use since people will often be damaging you from a distance, which is a key difference from Turf Wars.

For Tower Control, Many weapons are viable. Anything which pressure opponents from close range to mid range, with large hitboxes, are good here. Examples include weapons with bombs, Killer Wails, Inkstrikes, and Bomb Rush. Krakens and Shields are also great for your team to focus on the objective. Some weapons that do very well are Blasters and E-Liters (hitting behind the pole). Inkbrushes will definitely have a hard time being both offensive and defensive from any position due to their lack of pressure, so they would be not very viable in this game mode.

For Rainmaker, you will often be in close combat, near teammates. Weapons with Bubbler will be very strong in this game mode. Most of the game will focus on getting a route to the objective, so E-Liters are quite useful, as well as weapons with Seekers. Kraken disperse opponent pressure as well as covering a route for your team to use, so they are useful here as well.

I hope all that advice helps you out!

Zones: Dynamo is typically strong as well as the 52 and 96 Deco.
Tower: Slosher Deco might become more popular than the 96 Deco. Blasters are good too, most of them are decent.
Rainmaker: There's like 94 Kraken weapons so pick the one you like :)

I think the 'best' weapon for any mode is entirely dependent on the player. The weapon that may work best for one player might not work for another player. Even weapons that are scoffed at a lot can be extremely helpful if the person is good enough with them. I was playing Splat Zones earlier and met an absolutely amazing Inkbrush Nouveau. I hardly ever see anyone using that weapon but she was absolutely crushing it out there. Unfortunately, the rest of her team couldn't match up and we still beat her but she was definitely holding her own and giving us problems.

But~ These are my favorite and best weapons to use for each mode...

Rainmaker
Weapons: Carbon Roller/Carbon Roller Deco or Heavy Splatling

When it comes to Rainmaker, the best weapon for this mode usually depends on what sort of maps are in rotation. If maps with a flatter surface are in rotation, I will probably be more inclined to use my Carbon Roller because it's more beneficial to my movements. I'm able to do a lot more when I don't have to be constantly trying to climb things with my roller. So a Carbon Roller is definitely the go to for me when it comes to Rainmaker on flatter courses like Triggerfish or Walleye. The Inkzooka and Seekers are also much more useful on flat maps rather than hilly ones.

If the course has a lot of high points such as Museum d'Alfonsino, I am probably more inclined to use my Heavy Splatling. I find that my Splatling works better on these courses because it allows me to be a defensive attacker. I can stand at higher elevations and shoot from above, giving coverage to my team and taking out the opposing team. With the rapid fire rate of a Heavy Splatling and all of the high vantage points, it makes the Heavy extremely useful for Rainmaker.

Splat Zones
Weapons: Carbon Roller, Heavy Splatling or Slosher Deco

Unlike Rainmaker, the map doesn't really help me decide which weapon to use for Splat Zones. Splat Zones is easily my best Ranked mode and I can do very well in it with any of the three weapons I listed. However, I often will not use my Heavy Splatling for Splat Zones unless it is on a map like Saltspray. This is because if there isn't a high point for me to shoot from, I'm disadvantaged in Splat Zones with my Splatling. So usually, my Carbon Roller and formerly my Tri-Slosher were my go to weapons for Zones. The Slosher Deco is quickly replacing the Tri though and I think I may end up using the Deco more often than my Tri.

The Carbon Roller should be fairly obvious in why I prefer it. Rollers are able to cover a lot of ground very quickly and with the Carbon Roller's speed, it makes it easier to cover and take a Zone. With the Inkzooka and Burst Bombs, it is also very handy in keeping enemies at bay and stopping their advance. When I use my Carbon Roller, I usually focus myself on protecting the Zone and I do fairly well with it.

When I use my Slosher, I am often taking a similar approach. I'll use it to protect the Zone or ward off enemies if need be. Both of these weapons are very useful due to their abilities to take the Zone and protect it.

Tower Control
Weapons: Heavy Splatling

This is easily one of my worst modes and I don't really enjoy playing it. However, when I do play it, I am often using my Heavy Splatling. I've found the Heavy to be good with Tower Control because of its range and power. When I'm on the tower, I can protect from longer ranges if my team isn't holding up their end of the bargain. My power only goes so far so I need my team to hold up though. That's really all I can say. I don't think I've played Tower enough to actually have a very in depth opinion on what is best for it.

I wasn't looking for advice, I just wanted to spark a discussion. I see some conversations about tier lists and it seems silly to talk about teirs when in reality it depends on mode and map. I use the krak-on roller for every mode, although it's definitely weaker on some maps and modes than others. Like the new map- I can't win to save my life at the museum with the krak-on roller. And splat zones is definitely harder for me than rainmaker or tower control, where I can take out the rainmaker in one shot if I sneak up, cover the whole tower with a deadly splash, and kraken to control the tower of stop the rainmaker. In splat zones I have to adjust to play defensively, almost becoming a designated beacon-setter.

I don't consider these weapons entirely functional on their own, think of it more of them being the biggest asset to a team. These are just my observations, though!

As for individual weapons i'd say regular Dynamo is best for Zones(jump flick covers a huge area of turf in addition with sprinkler, forms strong team support by popping out Echos while practically inking the entire map).

As for Tower, Luna Blaster Neo. Point at tower and shoot. When on tower, shoot in the vague vicinity of enemies and watch splats happen. Occassionally throw bomb if you want to trap/trade/get rid of enemies out of reach. Special basically locks out an large bit of territory around the tower while inking it.

Rainmaker would be Octobrush, can lay down an inktrail for the RM to follow suit. Additionally, Kraken allows the RM carrier a more safer (and vertical) method of directly going for the pedestal. Beakons help the team quickly regroup after a wipe.
The Kraken special really shines in RM, not only can it escort RM easily it can also quickly ambush and chase an enemy RM, on top of popping the shield in a few hits.

It all really depends on your preferences, but some of the best are:

Tower control

Blasters (best is probably rapid blaster or the one with mines)

Inkbrush noveau (CAUTION! NEVER use this weapon for anything except tower control beause it sucks outside TC mode)

Turf war

You can literally use almost anything, but some good ones are:

Bamboozlers

Aerosprays

Rollers

Tentatek/octoshot

Splat zones

I’m not totally sure what is good for zones. Just make sure it has a bomb rush. I would say splash-o-matic or kelp charger (no scope)

Rainmaker

Not totally sure. Get a sniper or a turf coverer. Also forge splattershot pro is good for 1-on-1 rainmaker.

YES YES YES I love the Inkbrush Noveau it is an absolute beast on TC I would Highly recommend it it has the 3 requirements for a great TC weapon:
  1. Short range, high power, high speed, can get to tower fast
  2. Ink mines (leave on tower)
  3. Bubbler (Just don't get knocked off the tower)

From my personal experience, Rapid Blaster Pro is devastating in Tower Control. It's a hugely underrated weapon that is competent in all modes but it truly shines in TC. l suck at TC so after a losing streak l decided to pick the RBP and l cleaned house with it. Got 9-0 k/d in S rank lobbies without ever being really threatened.

You can literally chill in your territory surrounded by a sea of your own ink with all the movement options it grants you while shooting the tower and seeing everyone in the opposite team die. l think it might even be a more dominant weapon than the Luna in that mode because the loss of OHKO power is more than made up for by how much safer it is. With Luna you're going to kill a lot but also die a lot because you have to be standing in the heart of battle. With the RBP you're killing a lot and staying alive at a comfortable distance.

If you guys want to see what l'm talking about in practice by a far better player than me, go to Dude's Twitch channel, he has a bunch of archived vids where he uses the RBP and destroys everyone.

Imagine how the Rapid Blaster Pro Deco (whew) would be in TC. Take the already great fire rate and range of the original, and add Disruptors which can help you cripple the other team's riders, as well as a fast charging Killer Wail for clearing the towers.

Now that I think about it, all the rapid blasters are somewhat underrated. They have a high learning curve, but can safely and quickly splat foes with a bunch of Damage Ups.

I agree with your points about the RBP, but I normally use the regular RB (it's my main) b/c it features suction bombs & bomb rush. suction bombs, in my opinion, are the second best sub for TC (runner up to ink mines).
