What if you don't wear any headgear?

I think we found our invisible hat. In this video (at ~1:11) you can see there's a headgear called Fake Contacts, which appear to be contact lenses. But they don't seem to produce any visible change to your inkling's appearance, so you can probably just equip these to have the headgear perks but appear as if you aren't wearing any headgear!

And as someone else posted before there might be a "hide your gear option." Maybe Nintendo will implement that...who knows.

I'm curious about the whole shopping experience, It doesn't seem like everything is available to you at once. I wonder if the gears and stuff rotate..?

Well, glad to see this all work out then. Won't be using the fake contact lenses myself, but I'll keep it in mind.
