  • Finally back from vacation. The first few days were good, but the final few days were the worst due to getting covid. At least I'm back and ready to finally create new SFMs for once, though any plans that required face-to-face interactions will obviously need to be postponed for the time being.
Coral is my main OC and the character I play in Splatoon 3 (male Octoling with the classic eyebrows, long leggings, and his alternate "Punk" hairstyle), he's sort of the protagonist of my stories:

Kelp is a very motherly Octoling and uses that personality trait of hers to make her boyfriend Coral feel better:

So in the making of this group of Octarian friends, I decided to reverse the roles a little bit on how the usual groups of friends are portrayed. One of the differences is that I decided to make the chubby one of the group a female, so that's partly why Ocean is an Octobomber:

At some point, I wanted to show off Coral and Kelp, both in their octopus form, I will be willing to show them in said form more often in certain circumstances, but for now, here's a simple one:

You know what I can brag about? The fact that I made a tentacle Octarian OC that's not an enemy before Nintendo introduced one in this entire trilogy:

I will try posting one of my old SFMs here before I go on that vacation tomorrow.

    As a side note:

If there's one good thing about going on that forced vacation, it's that there's a good chance to escape the cloudy days that have been souring my mood.
When you have to turn to look at your commander, but the sunlight directly onto your eyes makes it harder:

If only I wasn't forced to go on vacation this Friday, I would resume creating SFMs as a common occurrence. So to satisfy my urges until my vacation is over, I'm going to be posting old SFMs I created. Starting now:

So, during the creation of that knight and princess SFM yesterday, I ran into one annoying technical difficulty in which one specific model would become invisible. I retraced some steps from the beginning and it seems to have fixed it.
Agh! The duality of wanting to get many ideas I have for SFMs created while also prioritizing what's left on the list of the SFMs that need to be created!
I hate forced vacations. They always disrupt my plans for what I want to accomplish.

more and more I think of the saying... if you don't have enough planned breaks, you will have a breakdown.

ig I've seen too many get hit by a burnout.
