I can't remember the last time a weapon released on a Tuesday. Think that was way back in July or so (might have been the week that the Luna and the Sploosh came out)? What happened on the Friday of that week?
NInja Squid ain't that great. You can replicate the no-ripple swimming by just slowly moving your stick in squid form, and Ninja squid neither eliminates ripples when climbing walls nor removes the ripple noise. Plus, you can still get tagged by Sensors and Echo. Just run Cold Blooded instead if...
Even if you're fighting a skilled opponent, creating an escape for yourself, then throwing a wall out in the open is not a bad idea at all. They have less health than they used to, but your opponent still has to respect the wall's presence and the mindgames that it creates. Walls are still...
Neat idea in concept, but I feel a vortex effect would create a lot of unneeded grief for people who just happen to be standing near the Inkstrike. The purpose of Inkstrike is to get enemies to reposition themselves, not to score team wipes. Players, meanwhile, are supposed to train themselves...
I don't think damage up is completely useless on Blasters post-patch. It no longer extends the radius of your OHKO, but it can snag you some kills on enemies that submerge after you hit them with the AoE, which they could have otherwise healed off. It's just no longer a required stat for the...
Bomb Range is also quite handy on the Luna Neo. I'm running 4 subs right now, but you can get the same effect with a main and just one sub for 120% throw range.
Right now, I'm running

Of course they release this weapon on a Moray/Bluefin rotation. AKA, your bomb rush is useless due to heights.
In any case, despite my hype for this weapon I am actually doing absolutely terrible tonight. The worst I've done in ages. I was streaking and going positive for the past few nights...
This. I ran into a lot of NZaps in duos last night that chained Echoes. Even with Cold Blooded on, it's quite annoying, because they often popped it twice in a row just to get the full 6 seconds on me. Oddly enough, Japan doesn't seem to like running CB very much, so the same tactic works...
It seems to be some kind of somewhat-happy medium between a Blaster and a Slosher, with the ball having a damage radius around it. So perhaps a more forgiving Blaster? Other than that, it sounds rather underwhelming, since we can't really determine much from a four-second clip of a single shot.
I'm actually doing better with Blasters than before with this patch, oddly enough. Though I do feel the nerf at weird times (i.e., not always getting 2hko with the AoE while they're swimming away, since them living was a rare occurrence pre-patch). Are people just not respecting the AoE? I'm...
