November Splatfest: Salsa vs Guacamole! (NA region)

This was my first splatfest under the new system and well, didn't seem much different. Never got into any 10x or 100x battles, and the skill level of players in the Pro matchmaking felt about the same. All they did to the points is add more zeroes, which doesn't actually change how many battles...

Splatoon 2: Find Out What's Fresh! (General Discussion)

Was about to say if Main Power Up was essentially damage up, but thankfully they're being more creative with it. Eager to see what it does for each main weapon!

    Grizzco Break Room

This new map is greatness! Might even overtake Smokeyard as my favorite! A nice surprise as well, after the trailer in the Nintendo Direct I thought we weren't gonna get anymore Salmon Run maps. Maybe they'll have another next month? Nah that's wishful thinking.

Splatoon 2: Find Out What's Fresh! (General Discussion)

With all this new stuff I finally caved and paid for the Switch online. Lasted two months without Splatoon, for me that's impressive! xD Kensa Sloshing Machine is uber fun, though I am pretty disappointed in the Kensa L-3, namely the special. The Stamp seems like a worse Baller as it's slower...

Splatoon 2: Find Out What's Fresh! (General Discussion)

Wow another new sub, didn't expect that! Man they really needa give us more alt kits so a variety of different main weapons can get these new subs and specials. Torpedo seems like it'll be uber easy for rapid fire weapons to shoot down so I'm a bit skeptical of it's usefulness, but it's turf...

Splatoon 2: Find Out What's Fresh! (General Discussion)

I love the costumes even the mascot one for just how silly it is! But sadly no matter how good they are I can't justify paying $30-$40 for em. Don't see why they can't sell dlc separately from amiibo, we know they can thanks to Octo Expansion, but eh ahwells.

Splatoon 2: Find Out What's Fresh! (General Discussion)

But likewise the Burst Bomb doesn't explode 3 times, which means 3 chances to hit and essentially 3 times the overall AoE. As said before the sub weapon isn't ment to kill on it's own but to assist and pressure, which is why it's great on Luna and Sloshing Machine as one hit potentially reduces...

Splatoon 2: Find Out What's Fresh! (General Discussion)

From what I've seen the armor on the Booyah Bomb is quite substantial! A single player is unlikely to take it down. Fizzy Bomb does a substantial 50 dmg on direct explosion hits. What does special power up do for it? And yeah, it may not be great for killing but it is good for playing the...

Splatoon 2: Find Out What's Fresh! (General Discussion)

It get's a sort of Ink Armor (wonder if it stacks with Ink Armor special) but yeah it's a ranged special like Stingray and Tentamissles. Weapons like the Hydra Splatling and Explosher could make good use of it, but instead it's on midrange weapons. =/

Splatoon 2: Find Out What's Fresh! (General Discussion)

Course you can, the trail is about as wide as an inkling, who can dive into even smaller patches of ink. I'd say explosion radius is roughly the same as Burst Bomb, and it also explodes pretty quickly after touching the ground. I certainly don't think it's a great sub but it'll have it's uses...

Splatoon 2: Find Out What's Fresh! (General Discussion)

Says it was posted on the 30th but I think it was only recently made viewable. Eitherway it's a fun match that shows the new map, sub and special in action. Fizzy Bomb looks unchanged from when it was known as Piyo, namely leaving a trail of ink when thrown giving it a bit of curling bomb-like...

Splatoon 2: Find Out What's Fresh! (General Discussion)

The synergy between main and special is what defines the Slosher Deco and Heavy Splatling, so they'd be great no matter the sub weapon. Bombs can actually kill and their painting can't be prevented, don't think many would trade that for a mere 10% lower ink cost.

Splatoon 2: Find Out What's Fresh! (General Discussion)

That Sloshing Machine is certainly tempting me to go ahead and pay for the online service! We don't yet know how good or not the Fizzy/Carbonate Bomb is and Splashdown isn't a preferred special anymore, but I'm still very interested in playing the weapon. It's kind of a combination of the...

    4.0.0 Update Speculation Thread

I hear Quick Respawn is still a favored ability anyway, I certainly see a lot of strong players using it.

    Grizzco Break Room

Yeah I remember seeing the Range + Hydra shift and just going "ha nope!" Wish they would have atleast added a rotation where you can choose your own weapons but ahwells.
