I use it to trap players. If I'm close to an enemy, I'll use it to either make them push towards me or cut off their retreat route. Take the ink away from behind them so they can't run away, trapping them in a small area in front of you.
Really depends on the situation. Obviously it's better to trade kills than to die. If help is rotating over to the opponent and none is coming your way, it's not a terrible option to go for the trade
The problem is a lot of people that play Ranked, especially in B-A rank, are always pushing for kills instead of map control/setups. If I'm playing anchor or holding down the zone, I don't need the entire rest of the team to rush the spawn. Like in Walleye when I'm holding the zone, I don't need...
