Honestly, I was on the same boat as you. I wanted to love the Dualie Squelchers (since the Dual Squelcher was one of my favorites from the first Splatoon game) but I noticed after playing with the weapon for a while I noticed that the only thing that really annoyed me about the weapon was the...
NOOOOOO!!!! WHY!?!
Like, I can understand why but that's going to hurt my L-3 a bit which saddens me. :(
Aside from that, this patch is pretty much just buffs to most of the "unused" weapons in Splat 2 (and a few nerfs to some of the current "meta" weapons) and it seems that Nintendo REALLY...
This thread seems usually quiet, let me fix that.
Much like in the first game, the L-3D is still an amazing Bust Cancel weapon. One indirect hit from a Bust Bomb and a full burst from the L-3 is a guaranteed splat making it more potent in close ranged combat then the original.
The Inkjet...
NOT ANYMORE! :p
Going back on topic, both songs from the Chirpy Chips were my personal favorites in Splatoon so they get my vote. Sad that the songs from the first game weren't included with the current songs we have.
Aside from that, some honorable mentions will go to Ink Theory, Hightide...
I'm defiantly going to enjoy this, easily one of my favorites from the first game (although I'm no to big of a fan of Inkjet since the heavy nerfs to it, but it will do).
I've also have been having such a good time with the Vanilla L-3 in this game so the Burst canceling kit of this one will be...
I can add the L-3 to that list as well. Not only it has great mobility via Curling Bombs but it also has the Baller which I find to be a pretty special for that gamemode so far since you can carry the Power Clam (as well as regular clams) with you when you use the special.
The only downside is...
Aside from the issue that Clam Blitz almost never seems to be in rotation when I play, this accurately describes my Clam Blitz experience so far (well minus the 32 splats bit).
I'm kind of unsure on what to do in C- since most player play it more like a TDM with a optional objective then...
If you were a player used the Nozzlelenose a lot you are going to love this thing, the fact that it also keeps it's 100% accuracy while jumping makes it pretty amazing.
So I've been gone for a while and was only able to play a little bit of the NA Splatfest and a few games of the new gamemode (Clam Blitz).
I have to say, the new gamemode is pretty chaotic (probably because I'm in C- with many other folk of various skill levels) and I find myself playing the...
With that said, can you trap a Griller on one of those two moving platforms?
Bait it to a platform, have another teammate move the platform a bit (so it won't go all away to the other side) and keep hitting the propellers a bit so it won't reset.... is that possible? Seems like something fun...
Then I consider myself lucky then, since most of my runs so far on that map were low/normal tide waves. I haven't encountered a high tide wave yet, but from what I've seen by watching a few streamers... the map gets really tiny.
Overall, excluding low tide the map is overall pretty small... and...
It's like all of my prayers were answered in a single patch!
Also, after testing the new Toxic Mist in the test range with 1 Ink Recovery Up Main, and 1 Sub Saver Main and 2 Sub Saver Subs (I'm working on the third chunk) you can "spam" the Toxic Mist sub pretty well.. it's a very welcome...
