Due to a necessary greater time investment in my work, I've sadly come to the conclusion that I no longer have the time to dedicate to continuing this project on my own. This has been very fun for me, from the days of Splatoon 1 to today. As a player, this is exactly the sort of data I would be...
For the slosher, while the weapon is slightly longer range than some midrange weapons, it does actually get matched in range by some as well. The splattershot can't shoot you but can still throw bombs, and you're basically the same range as the sloshing machine; these are the most popular...
I was a bit confused when I came to this thread. It said specifics, but all I saw of specifics in the OP were gear...
I don't think it's necessary to focus much on gear until you're getting into very high-level play. I'm S+, albeit low, and most of my gear is unoptimized. I haven't used a single...
Well, that is why I said it's my view of the meta for right now. I do agree that the meta is currently shifting, and what's popular this week may not be popular the next. I don't think it's possibly to reliably predict meta shifts, so I just recommend people to try what I see working at the moment.
I've seen the league stats too. And while it does seem that unscoped are more common in league, and currently becoming more popular in tournament play, scoped was heavily favored in tournaments until recently. I was waiting until maybe another week had passed to amend my post earlier in the...
My top 10 weapons right now:
Splattershot
Sloshing Machine
Range Blaster
N-ZAP '85
Splat Charger
Splat Roller
Tentatek Splattershot
Splattershot Pro
Splat Brella
Rapid Blaster
Pretty diverse, with quite a few styles of weapon having their own popular alternative. I think this might be the most...
This video helped me to improve my aim, after hundreds of hours of playing the game I still wasn't that good, because I didn't know how to consciously work towards improving it.
For starting sensitivity, I would do -3 motion and -1 stick. You don't want your aim to be wobbly when you can't even...
Pros have preferred scopes since the start of the game. Perhaps there's been a slight increase in unscoped usage since the recent buff, but scoped still far outweighs unscoped. It seems that charge holding just isn't that useful compared to added range and zoom. The downside of tunnel vision is...
Their main purpose right now seems to be to be a wall. You put them down so you can't be shot, probably while completing the objective. I'd reconsider popping your own team's bubbles because that's less shield time for you.
Never do I hate the game more than after a splatfest. I could go on a huge lose streak in ranked and drop a whole letter, and be less upset than playing TW with a >50% win ratio.
That's the nature of TW. Nothing matters except the state of the map at the end, so there is no benefit to holding the map before then. If you wipe the enemy team 5 times, then they wipe you once on their last push, it's a loss.
Now that patch 1.3.0 is done, I'll post the totality of matches recorded during that time.
Some things to note:
The Tentatek splattershot was the weapon to ultimately snag the top ranking for this period, but the actual story is a little more complicated. While both the Tentatek and regular...
