yeah they are bots the accounts that are posting them only have like 1 or 2 posts

yeah they’ve gotta be bots. they appear to be hacking into old accounts (the recent one was on an account from like 2018 that posted exactly once, back when the account was made) to try and look credible i guess. i suppose they could be real people doing this manually but a splatoon forum feels like an… odd place to choose to advertise (don’t they know we get our dating advice from squid school videos??)

I delete posts from bots whenever I see them. There was a particularly nasty bot that posted some outright nasty stuff that was inappropriate for a blog setting. That was before I became a mod. Once I saw bots taking over the forum, that's when I decided to apply for mod so I can keep that from happening again.

I remember seeing them for the first time months ago and being so confused. Nobody said anything about it either so I figured we were all just ignoring them.
