I think of something random and go off of that

for example, I have an oc names "Everybody Explode Now"

sometimes pun names in line with canon characters, sometimes i pull from common or scientific names of sea creatures (not necessarily the sea creature said oc is, sometimes it's a vibe or a comparison). sometimes other puns/wordplay. i could go into detail on how i named different ocs but i shan't
