    i guess it depends on what you mean by ‘normalized.’ (by whom?) i did once know a little bit more about the history of singular they & neopronoun usage though, but i’ve since forgor 💀 despite some folks’ common belief though, we go back further than the 2010s. were it not 11 pm on a work night for me i’d do some digging for sources to give you a better answer

    really though having genuine questions is neither offensive (as long as they’re not like, invasive personal questions) nor dumb! you seem to be coming from a place of genuine curiosity, and queer history isn’t typically… well taught, so learning it requires going out of your way a little bit to either dig for info or ask questions.
