Ah, okay. I think my family is Charismatic but I go to a Reformed church.

Just letting you guys know, I've made a group for Christian Splatoon fans! Why don't we move over there and chew the fat? (...do sea animals even have fat? eh whatever.)

(Also, yeah, now that I think of it that icon is pretty bad...anyone have any suggestions for changing it?)
Link to group pls?

What are y'all's thoughts on contemporary worship. Because like, I personally am not for it because I feel like it tries to appeal more to the congregation than to God. But what do y'all think
It is what it is. Its never been for me, my mom preferred Life Teen Mass when I was Catholic and at best I was neutral on it. Once I got married and joined the Methodist Church i just enjoyed the traditional services better. Maybe it's just because I'm a bad singer and there's less music

They're totally against Biblical doctrine and they practice occultism. The leaders of them are paedophiles, adulterers and fornicators.
Those leaders need our prayers and the love of God more than anyone in hopes that they repent.

I've always been mentally at odds with prosperity gospel like Joel Osteen. Itd be interesting to see his message after doing mission work in a place like Haiti or Nicaragua for a month or so

No. Elaborate pls
Uhh, redeemedzoomer is a Christian... Public Figure(?) and started this whole movement about retaking the mainline churches and stuff. Something about theological liberalism and all that.

Basically, he's saying that theological liberalism (which is different from political liberalism) is killing off the historic mainline churches. So we, as the newer generation, need to move to whatever mainline church is in our same tradition in order to offset the balance and eventually bring it back to traditional Christianity.

For example, if someone was an evangelical PCA Presbyterian, he would say to go to a historic PCUSA church as that is one that needs to return to traditional Christianity.

In my case, I would go from Independent Christian Church (Campbellite stuff it's confusing) to the Christian Church [Disciples of Christ]
