best meta in general?

Mainly played Splat 3 comp so I have to say our current meta because all my weapons are so fun here

Yes, I agree. I like the cooler meta because of how diverse and free it is. Mainly the only problem is with the back liners and other cooler options being so dominated by pencil. Other than that I've been enjoying it.

+1 yeah cooler meta feels like it makes everything viable and super fast! I'd hate for cooler to be gutted because I'm afraid the game will slow down (think end of s2 era that I didn't experience)

The cooler meta has been good for plenty of weapons but it has been HORRIBLE for others, mainly backline weapons not only because... Well, pencil exists, but also RP has lost a lot of value for the, like, 2-3 weapons that can use it viably. Cooler is definitely fun when I want to get aggro with flingza, but other than that I don't really have much to say about it, other than my stringer has NOT been having fun lmao

i really liked inkjet meta. it was so cool and cooler was used as an option to make dying to inkjet not devastating which is so much better of a use than being forced to have it on your team at all times. ballpoint is also a much cooler backline than pencil, and this was also a point in the game where qr weapons were still good like wiper and tetras, and defensive comps weren’t terrible either. in this meta every comp has to be a fast, fight heavy idea around it which is fine i guess, i just like it when more types of playstyles are viable.

if pencil wasn’t the dominant support and backline i would like this meta a lot more. i genuinely don’t know what the devs are going to do to nerf pencil to get out of literally both of those spots as the dominant weapon. they better have cooked for these next patch notes because if they don’t do enough to pencil we might get stuck with it forever. i don’t care if it gets nerfed to the ground though, they can fix that in another patch eventually and at least it definitely won’t be dominant that way.

Inkjet Meta was such a good time. Genuinely the most fun I had with Splatoon 3 but I'm biased because Machine didn't get ruined yet.
