Are you curious how Kelp got that hairstyle? You would be surprised to know that it was accidental! A glitch of the hairstyle-changing helmet (which doesn't cut any of the tentacles at all, it just changes them) if you will.

This wasn't a new thing for her either, she was used to changing hairstyles every now and then.

Little did Kelp know, that this particular hairstyle-changing machine was going to change her hairstyle very painfully because it was very faulty that day.

After the machine finished changing her tentacles, Kelp did not hesitate to take it off, in fact, she wanted to take it off even before it finished, but didn't want to ruin her tentacles, so she took it off after it finished.

To make sure her tentacles weren't damaged in any way, she looked into the mirror to check. Not only she was relieved that her tentacles weren't ruined, but she loved the new look!

And that is how Kelp got her favorite hairstyle. She took the hairstyle-changing machine to the repair shop where an Octosniper fixed the glitch and added the hairstyle that Kelp liked as a setting she could use anytime. Also, every time Kelp changed back to this hairstyle, the machine didn't hurt her anymore.

The Chainsaw Shark has been sighted yet again, this time at Camp Triggerfish. General Anemone sent Coral and Kelp to defeat the monster.

"Um... Coral, do you think we can do this?" Kelp, who is dressed like a princess asks her boyfriend.

"I believe we can!" Coral, who looks like a knight, answers Kelp's question.

Before long, the Chainsaw Shark appeared and this time, Coral decided to fight it to protect Kelp.

"Take that! And this, and this!" Coral yells out as he strikes the Chainsaw Shark with his Splatana Stamper.

The Chainsaw Shark isn't done attacking yet as it lunges at Coral, but the Octoling Boy dodges the shark's chainsaw. Coral deals one final strike with the Splatana to finish the Chainsaw Shark off, knocking it out.

Coral pants as he catches his breath, Kelp takes some deep breaths to calm herself down. Now they wait for animal control to come pick up the Chainsaw Shark and remove its chainsaw.

The original Agent 3 has come a long way, from your typical 14-year-old Inkling who was interested in playing Turf Wars and Ranked Battles to now becoming the new Captain of the New Squidbeak Splatoon.

When Agent 3 first got to Inkopolis Plaza, he played Turf Wars and Ranked Battles, just as any other Inkling when they came of age. Things would change for him when he noticed an old man peeking out from a manhole and decided to investigate:

Little did he know, this would start a series of adventures into many places outside of Inkopolis, the first of which was Octo Valley where he was given the Hero Suit as well as the Hero Shot to fight DJ Octavio's Octarians with and take back all of the Zapfish as well as the Great Zapfish stolen by the octopus army:

After defeating the Octarians and taking back the Zapfish, Agent 3 enjoyed a break from his duties in the New Squidbeak Splatoon and continued playing ink battles against other Inklings in Inkopolis, even participating in Splatfests hosted by none other than the Squid Sisters (whom he worked with as Agent 1 and Agent 2).

However, there would eventually be a time when the old man known as Craig Cuttlefish would call Agent 3 up on a new mission. A second adventure where he and Cuttlefish would investigate sightings of unusual Octarian movement, eventually ending up in a battle against a particular Octoling who, like many other members of his people, decided to leave for the surface. This particular Octoling who was nicknamed Agent 8, would eventually end up becoming Agent 3's best friend after Commander Tartar's defeat in two years:

After a few more years pass by, Agent 3 becomes the new Captain of the New Squidbeak Splatoon, while his original title is given to the newest recruit from the Splatlands and his Smallfry companion in Alterna to fight the new threat posed by the Fuzzified Octarians and taking back the Great Zapfish which was stolen from Splatsville:

From your humble 14-year-old squid kid to Captain, the original Agent 3 has come a long way.

And what about old man Craig Cuttlefish? Well, he has retired from his position as captain and is currently making amends to his former best friend, foe, and best friend again DJ Octavio.

Appearance: Shark used to have a hairstyle that resembled a shark's fins, but he has since changed it to something that can be more easily concealed so his targets won't spot him. He wears military-grade non-slip boots and a vest. His bandana has a graphic of a shark's jaw and teeth.

Backstory: Shark was once taken away from his parents by DJ Octavio's army when he was a child, during training, he was abused by the elite members, notably, the Elite female Octoling members of Octavio's army over the simplest of mistakes. One day he had enough and revolted against those same Octolings and promptly joined General Anemone's army as an Octospartan, a member of male-only elite Octolings devoted to wiping out or at least dealing massive blows to elites of enemy armies by any means necessary, whether they are the female-only Octamazons from DJ Octavio's army, or elite invading Salmonids, it doesn't matter. He is merciless to traitors and double agents, beating them up until they beg or give up vital information.

Personality: Shark is usually in a cool-headed mood, whether guarding the doors of the Octarian neighborhood to keep trespassers out or splatting them if they do manage to get through. However, he is not immune to getting angry and will do so if the enemy he is trying to get information out of refuses to give it.

Skills: No one can escape being splatted by Shark once he catches sight of them. A Brush user can try to sway back and forth as much as they want, Shark splats them with his E-liter almost instantly. He is often called the "Supersonic Eye" by other members of the army, which means if he takes aim at somebody, he's guaranteed to splat them.

Relationships: Shark has an Elite Octoling wife named Dolphin. He takes orders from his Octohurler commander and general named General Anemone. He also has Octoling and Octarian allies named Coral, Kelp, Clam, and Ocean.

Appearance: Dolphin wears her old armor from when she was a part of DJ Octavio's army and a pair of Blue Iromaki 750s as easy shoes to put on and take off, she is pregnant.

Backstory: Dolphin was once a part of DJ Octavio's army and became an Elite Octoling of her own. However, she had doubts about the ways of the army, the cruelty they had brought upon the children they stole was breaking her hearts, then one day after seeing how many Octolings and Octarians alike defected to General Anemone's army, she too defected to his army. Upon defecting, she saw an older male Octoling whom she fell in love with, the exact same one who splatted some of her former co-workers, then she got into a relationship with him on that fateful night when romantic relationships between Octolings became unbreakable. Once escaping Octo Valley, she married him and is now awaiting their first Octoling child.

Personality: Dolphin is a kind Octoling who prefers to talk things out rather than fight, but if she needs to defend herself, she won't hesitate to use her Luna Blaster in self-defense. She is also worried about her husband Shark whenever he's sent to really dangerous missions, as she wants her child to have a father.

Skills: She had retained a lot of her skills from when she was part of DJ Octavio's army, however, she mostly uses them for self-defense nowadays so she wouldn't endanger the baby Octoling in the egg developing inside her belly.

Relationships: Dolphin has an Elite Octoling husband named Shark. She takes orders from her Octohurler commander and general named General Anemone. She also has Octoling and Octarian allies named Coral, Kelp, Clam, and Ocean.

Before Coral had the courage to talk to others, he was really shy, which meant Clam had to do most of the talking.

Before the four met, Kelp had already begun having a crush on Coral, and that indirectly caused Ocean to have a crush on Clam.

After finally gathering up the courage to do so, Coral sets out to meet Kelp's parents. He asked his girlfriend about the address of her parents' house, Kelp excitedly answered and gave Coral said address. Coral is still a little nervous, but he decides to push on through regardless, after all, he still needed to get approval from Kelp's parents in order to keep dating her.

There are times when General Anemone sends Shark on secret missions not even known to the rest of the members of the surface Octarian military. In this case, Shark was sent to splat high-profile targets that are part of a really dangerous group known as the Virus Vector Insurgents. This mission in particular took many weeks, but thankfully, this is the final week as Shark has been slowly wiping this group from the map by targeting the higher-ups first, then pursuing the minions one by one as he tracked them down and splatting them. The three remaining members are desperately trying to release a virus that would make Inklings, Octarians, and many other sea species around the world become rabid and feral, so Shark is on a race against time to stop such a scenario from ever taking place.

Shark is preparing for his final attack against the remainder of the Virus Vector Insurgents, he managed to sneak in before all three noticed him. He needs to stay hidden but act quickly.

He is now awaiting the perfect moment to splat all three in quick succession.

At the very start of sunrise for Easter, Coral and Kelp decided to hide Easter Eggs for Octoling children and tentacle Octarian children to find. To fit in with the holiday in an adorable way, Kelp thought it was a good idea to have both herself and her boyfriend wear bunny ears while they hid the eggs in the foliage of the backyards of the neighborhood. Meanwhile, Clam and Ocean were also doing some preparations for Easter as well back at Clam's house, Clam is setting the table with plates, cups, and silverware, while Ocean is very busy cooking for Easter lunch so it can be ready before guests arrive.
