Five minutes is usually a length of a short, which you know already. If they greenlight a series, they may do the same formula and have two stories formulate in a half hour. I have no idea if the comic artist is going to have any sort of control over his creation, most likely won't since a lot of manga artist just come up and give tips. (Zatch Bell is a good example of how much they butchered his work despite the advice given, and the Megaman NT Warriors series avoided everything that made the manga good as well.)
So hopefully they don't run into that, but won't likely be if they don't decide to stir too far away from his humor or art style. I know it is going to probably have rigid animation quality since it is an anime, and it is a style that Japanese normally pitch in, so that isn't so bad, just how well it is put off.
(If you don't get what I mean by rigid, it just means in animation terms where the animation has a few frames per second. In Japan, especially back in the 80s, and 50s such as Transformers and so forth, the example of rigid animation could be seen throughout the show. It just became a style later that everyone became so familiar with. So don't mistaken that I am bashing, I am just being technical with my knowledge here. I hate explaining that, but I know some people attempt to take things personally when I describe things.)
Also I hope it has Japanese subtitles, that would be great for translating.
(And ignore the tweet I posted, I can't seem to find the actual post where he is speaking about the anime in August. Maybe removed it because he unveiled too much information.)
