Skipped straight to the bottom for this one;

I've had the same problem, outside of getting a squad, it's a never ending teeter-totter between B+ and A-. I made it out after convincing my friends to back me up (had 3 with Splatoon but never played it much) and if I had decent any form of Decent internet now i'd absolutely side in your efforts to get out.

Seems like we have the same problem. I only need good team mates who know what to do. Im tired of getting stressed over dumb inklings running around with a roller on rainmaker or using their chargers and blasters on splat zones.

I love how you're grumbling about others supposed looking down on you and being "too cool" while doing the exact same thing. If you really think rollers have no place in rainmaker, or chargers and blasters in splat zones, you still have a LOT to learn.

Hint: Rollers are fantastic for making a path for the rainmaker carrier and escorting them.

It's true that you still have a lot to learn but sometimes you need some help with these kinda things. I would love to help you, I know the struggle with B+, A- etc. I'm a S rank, maybe we can squad or something.

I'm a Aerospray RG main
well there's your problem right there

****ishness aside, Aero RG is a bad weapon for turf war and awful at Ranked. It has ziltch range, no option to attack anything that outranges it, and even for it's range it has a very high time to kill. If you still insist on picking the Aero, pick the MG kit as it is way better at what it does.

Don't main a single weapon, main several ones so you can have something ready for every rotation.

Nahh he's fine; MG is definitely the way to go, especially if Ranked is in mind. RG is only gold for Turf War.

Ive been doing good with the Aerospray weapons. The gold one helps me a lot in Turf Wars (I usually ink more than 1400 on big maps and around 1100 on small maps), Splat Zones (Inkstrike is great especially in Moray Towers and Ink mines can be a pain in the *** on Port Mackerel) and Tower Control. I only use the silver one on Rainmaker cause it has Seeker and Inkzooka.

Its been said dozens of times, but saying don't blame your teammates doesn't mean we are assuming what you're going through, or don't believe you when you say you have bad or unreliable teammates.

Everyone knows teammates can be unreliable and kinda crap, especially in the rank you're at. Even in S. In fact, a ton of S rank players still baffle me with their strategic decisions.

"Don't blame your teammates" is simply advice to keep you focused on what YOU can do to improve. You can't change what your teammates do (in solo queue). Obviously, you can't control that, so saying "help me, my teammates suck" is not going to solve anything. People in this thread were just suggesting that you change your mindset to optimize your approach. A lot of @KayB 's advice is geared towards improving how you play regardless of what teammates you have.

Also, I will say that, as much as you may hate the inconsistently of solo queue, I always caution people against squadding their way to S Rank. As you previously experienced, you squadded up to A+, then shot back down to A- in solo. You've since attained A+ on your own, so maybe you know what I'm talking about here. I didn't play a single squad match until I hit S rank, and while I never claim that my way is the best/only way, I feel better off for making that journey on my own. I had to figure out how to survive when my teammates are failing me. Knowing how to take on an objective potentially by yourself will not only make you a stronger player, but a stronger teammate when you DO squad. I'm extremely objective oriented. My teammates can see that in the way I approach any situation.

Please don't mistake this for talking down to you. I still have so much more improving to do myself. Getting to S is only half the battle when you consider the brutality of reaching S+ 99. There are skill levels far beyond anything that Splatoon has a rank bracket for. When we say "get better," we aren't saying "get as good as us." Getting better is what we strive to do every time we play. That's whether you're a C rank or an S rank. Good luck.

It sounds like you're really playing to win, but if you don't try to enjoy the ranked roller coaster, you're to keep having bad times. Unfortunately, there's not a lot you can do to account for bad weapon distribution on your team, as solo queue is a capricious beast. The time has come for you to break out the custom hydra and bring on the hurt.

You really need to lighten up, @Brianstorm. It sounds like you are only playing Splatoon to win and get to higher ranks, not to have fun. I am in B right now, and I used to hate it when I would go on a losing streak. But now, I don't really mind that much. Sure, it can be painful to see your rank go down, but if you lose, you lose. As you get more skilled at the game, your rank will go up in turn. Stop trying to force it.

You also have to stop blaming your teammates for everything. Sure, sometimes you will get on a team that is bad, but most of the time it is just the other team being more skilled than you. Instead of blaming others for your mistakes, try to improve off of the ones that you make. I hope that this helps. :)

How can I not blame players that keep running around with a roller and don't go up the tower
