An existentialist interpretation of this forum game would be that we are completely free to decide what "victory" on our own accord. It was Sartre who said "existence precedes essence". Essentially, we have complete free will because nothing defines our purpose for us. We choose our own path because our "existence" comes before our "essence". There is no meaning in the world beyond what we give it. However, our struggle for an authentic life often leads us to live in bad faith and convince ourselves that we are not free because of external societal pressures.
In other words, the struggle for "victory" in this game keeps one in a false sense of constraint. However, the antithesis to this would be that "victory" for us should only be what we define it as, not what it seems at face value. That's why I'm not searching for a momentarily sense of "victory" by being the most recent person to comment. I get a sense of accomplishment or "victory" for simply just the participation and the community, which in a way pays itself as its own reward.
