I think it’s safe to say the most effective way to harm an inkling is with enemy ink projectiles. Luring them into a blender would also work, but that’s significantly more difficult.

Contrary to popular belief, water is not harmful to inklings and octolings unless they are submerged in it. Shooting one with water would probably not do any harm at all, though you would probably make them quite mad and be in imminent danger.
