New splatfest theme it's... a rematch?!

A new splatfest theme just dropped which is a repeat of another theme "what your favorite chocolate?"

I'm most likely sticking with milk chocolate like last time although I wouldn't be all to surprised if white chocolate won again White chocolate possibly winning again during black history month? what does that mean? (/s)

Although this also do got me thinking are there going to be more repeat fest themes because if so I'm not entirely too sure sure on how to feel. on one hand some fest themes I personally enjoyed as it got me thinking about my choices like Palace V Theme Park V Beach. While other fest themes weren't really all to good as it had an easy answer like Gear V Grub V Fun. Ultimately though it's basically a casual poll where the winning team gets like 2 more super sea snails so it doesn't really matter, but still something that got me thinking.

? monthly splatfests have been over since grandfest. up until now we were only getting new seasonal fests, and i thought that'd continue to be true. it'd be lazy if we were still getting monthly fests and they reran a theme, but i don't see the problem with them rerunning a theme to give us a fest in a month we weren't expecting to have one in the first place?

(i do hope we get new deep cut dialogue, though. to my knowledge the 2020 reruns in splat2 didn't, so i'm not hopeful, but it'd be nice.)

If so, what does it mean to have two of the same Splatfest? The people wanted white ink so badly, but the government didn't have a new splatfest to give them and let them use it, so they had to just give them an old one or face a Coup d'état.

Eh, if I do participate in this Splatfest again, I'm still gonna pick white chocolate to keep my consistency with Splatoon in general. Though I will sorta hope that one of the other choices wins just for them to throw away the "Splatfest winners becomes law" lore because I really hate that piece of the lore so much.
