New Stage Incoming: Kelp Dome!

Splatoon just keeps itself so inkredibly fresh; the game has gotten the Ink Brush, Splatfests are on the way, and yet another exciting addition is coming in the new stage Kelp Dome! It seems to have an interesting layout, with an inner, maze-like structure that's covered in ink resistant glass which should make for very interesting strategic entry and defense points on the map.

Accord to the Tweet above from SplatoonJP (the official Japanese Splatoon twitter) will becoming on 6/11 at 11:00. There is no official news on when they will be will be releasing Kelp Dome in other places, but it seems safe to assume that like other DLC it will be added to the game around 7pm PST on 6/10. So get prepared for more squidtastic excitement and remember to stay fresh!

They honestly release content at the perfect timing. Everytime I start to get a little bored (mainly b/c I'm waiting for August) they always release something new the day after. So there is always something to be doing in Splatoon and I love it.

It looks really cool! I can't wait to play on this, it will also add more variety to the game.

I like what this map offers with the disadvantage you have with being on higher ground.

Definitely going to be a super interesting dynamic.

Probably a dumb question but, Do all these maps and other content take up space on our systems?
Considering the fact that this map was alreafy used in the campaign, I am going to say no. Some of the newer maps might need additional space, but I don't think it will be too bad.

While I'm not a proffesional on the subject, I believe it does. If you take the disk onto another console the DLC won't be there. I wouldn't worry too much though. They're hardly anything considering its already on the campaign.

yes, dlc for any game takes up space on your system
depending on the size of the update / the wii u that you have, you may run out of space (a lot of white wii u owners needed to buy a usb for other games)
afaik, splatoon files are relatively small, so you should be alright

Looks like this map is going to be sniper and long range sub-machine gun heavy. Its pretty wide open and allows for easy kills when your on the iron railings that stretch over the wall. I can't wait to try out this new map tonight.
