Man you don't even know how badly I want to enter that, but there was an art contest here I think? a few months ago and I was ready to enter until this guy submitted a FANTASTIC painting which won first place.
There are a bunch of artists much better than I am who will enter and I'm wondering if I should even try out! I just found out about that contest this morning so I still have time to decide whether or not I'll enter since if I DO, I'll do a huge piece that would take me way up to the deadline next month.

I agree with Bro. Sure, maybe you don't win, but if you don't enter at all, then you can't even have the chance. If you are thinking about it, take the shot.
