This starts off as 3 battles in the preliminary round, where top 8 out of 16 advance. Then it's single elimination of Bo7. So if you lose before the top 8 cut, it will probably be around an hour and a half or 3:30 EST. If you make it into top 8 cut at the finals, it will probably end at around 4:30-5:00 EST. That's the estimate, so around 3 hours, but it may extend more if delays from communication. So at most 5:30 EST.

A group of friends and I are planning on joining, just working things out before I post all of the details. I think only one of us has been in a Splatoon tourney so this would be a first for most of us. Hoping we don't do too bad haha.
Also not all of use are charger mains/secondaries so I'm not completely sure how well we can do.

Is it just the team leader that needs to be in Discord? Some of them don't use it so I'm just wondering. And is a squidboards account needed for each member?

No it should be fine. It is extremely hard to pull off, and that part is chaos city, so it shouldn't be a problem. If it is, then a rematch can be made. But no need to change
