Okay, I'm finally not busy enough to get something going here! Hmm... How to start...

Spoiler: After being dropped off at the tunnel

You wanted to ask the female what in the world she was talking about but she had left before you had even gotten a chance to ask. You sigh and start traversing through the tunnel before seeing a grate on the far end of the tunnel. You decided to go through and you saw what was supposed to be Inkopolis. The place looked ruined: destroyed buildings, all the shops(with the exception of Ammo Knights) were gone, and the happy mood was clearly obliterated from the place. You then see someone grab your arm and it appeared to be Callie of the Squid Sisters but she looked... Different... You wanted to ask her what in the world was going on but she started dragging you towards the main tower where turf wars used to take place and she wasn't dragging you real gentle.

As of February 23, 2016

Standing at the tunnel, you traverse through it silently until you reached a light of a manhole. You go through it to see the ruins of Inkopolis. Must have been the result of a terrorist attack. You look at the Booyah Base to see only Ammo Knights still standing. If deciding you went there, there was no one inside. Sheldon was in the back however, doing repairs to weapons as well as trying to make new ones. He denied service to you anyways. You went out and noticed the Battle Tower also standing but it was in rough shape. You hesitantly enter the lobby and find only Bluefin Depot and Flounder Heights the only buttons not utterly destroyed.

Spoiler: After being dropped off at the building

She had left before you could ask what was going on. You decide to go to the building she escorted you to and cautiously went through the door. You see a well lit and fairly well done room that seemed to calm your nerves slightly. The walls' edges were adorned by gold and silver linings and the room had comfortable looking couches, a dining area to the left and what could be a small inn to your right. It was tempting to go to those rooms but you went to the middle room where the office of the girl's comrade would be at. In it, the walls were a nice turquoise with magenta items to complement it. You see a female Octoling spinning around in her chair humming what appears to be Calamari Inkantation. She soon notices you and smiles slightly. "Hello there,"she says, the smile still on her face,"My friend brought you here huh?"

As of February 23, 2016

You see the building in sight but when you entered, no one in particular was inside so you went back out to see two figures in the distance walking towards the building. The figures had the looks of an Octoling and an Inkling coming through the Flooder area with ease. You soon realize that when the passed you, you notice the Inkling was the one who brought you here and the Octoling could probably be the one she was talking about. They go inside without noticing you and you had no other choice than to follow them.

Finally finished! Now we can start the role-play~ Jump in after you made a form in the OOC thread~

PS I updated the intros for newer people coming in~ They change as the story goes on.

Tyler, shaking since the meeting with the Inkling that sided with the Octolings was confused and scared beyond belief. He had passed out after something happened, and spoke to an Inkling who sided with the Octolings. He told her he was going to fight against her and the rest, and she was nice enough to lead him out of the area he was in and not splat him on sight.
Tucking in his Octobrush Nouveau he headed to the end of the tunnel to find himself in Inkopolis. The place look like a result of a terrorist attack, and the more he thought about it, his guess probably wasn't far off.
Looking around, he noticed that Ammo Knight's was the only store not destroyed, and as he headed to it, he felt someone grab him.
Letting out a yelp, he turned to the arms source and noticed it was Callie, his favorite of the Squid Sisters.
"C-Callie? What are you- Hey!" he shouted as he was dragged off by Callie into the Battle Tower.

Sonata absentmindedly perused the room, still eyeing everything in the building like it were foreign. Color coordinated and visually appealing... she didn't really see the point of it all. Too rich for her ink at least.

As who she presumed to be Octa turned around, Sonata stood ready to listen.

"Inklette, brought me here, yes," Sonata responded. She glanced around a bit, before asking Octa, "I have to fight...? To prove myself. That's what she said."

(Okay, sorry for the delay!)

Callie continued dragging poor Tyler towards the battle tower mostly ignoring what her had said. "I'm surprised she didn't kill you,"she says as she gets to the entrance. The doors open and she continues dragging him inside. "I guess you want an explanation huh?"she finally asks entering directions towards Bluefin Depot. It took a whole minute before they finally got there due to the somewhat damaged state of the transportation device. When the doors open you see what almost seems to be a terrible sight. Tens of hundreds of Inklings were training almost way too hard on the place, none even bothered to crack a joke or anything. "If you want answers,"she says,"Might as well ask Marie. She won't go into an angry fit trying to explain." With that, she leaves the area, back into the transportation device. Marie watches the Inklings train solemnly, sighing.

"Why Inklette is mostly right in that part,"Octa says, standing from her seat,"But, you're not gonna prove yourself right now. Why, it isn't easy to train here you know. But, at least we could treat our soldiers with respect." She walks outside of the room, gentle dragging Sonata out as well. "Why, are you hungry or tired by any chance?"she asks,"You can eat and sleep and when you're ready, you can see me and I'll see if I can get you a partner to prove yourself with." She walks out of the building to see if Inklette was still there.

Tyler watched Callie go off with a worried look. Taking her advice, he heads over to Marie while taking brief moments to watch the training Inklings do what they had to do. "Marie." He starts, "What in the world happened to Inkopolis? And what are all these Inklings training for? Well I have a good idea but..." he trailed off.

"War,"Marie answers,"The Second Great Turf War has started between us and them..." She paused for a few seconds. "That Inkling girl brought you here correct? Sigh... She was always a peacemaker..." She gets up and looks at the training Inklings. She had always wondered why Callie wanted the poor Inklings to train so hard if she knew that this side will most likely win. "Callie took you here to train,"she answers,"Train with the rest of these tired Inklings. She wants to ensure victory and get rid of those Octarians for killing our grandpappy." She soon averts eye contact to continue watching the Inklings.

Tyler walked away when he saw Marie's sullen look. She must've been talking about Captain Cuttlefish... He thought while heading down to the lower areas of Bluefin Depot. Looking around, he watches a group finish a set of training exercises, and while walking up to them, he asks, "Hey. I'm a newbie here. Do you know where I can start?"

"Hmm,"a male pink Inkling thinks looking over Tyler,"The lower decks like this one are for the newer squids here." Another male Inkling, this one blue, walked close to Tyler.
"He's saying you could train in these lower areas,"the blue one says with a small smile,"Here, nobody trains too hard unless you want to become an elite that usually battle. Unfortunately, I heard the Octarians almost not even bothering too much on wars and battles. They almost WANT to be destroyed. Who in Zapfish knows why..?" They went back to the training supplies to get ready to use them again.

As Maxwell traversed through the tunnel, he sighed as he looked towards the ground, a sadness could be seen across his face. He didn't want to turn down her offer of joining the Octarians, since who wouldn't want to protect those who were to be hunted down to extinction? But he didn't have a choice. He knew that, and wasn't planning on kidding himself. And so, with a grim, though determined look, he trudged himself out of the tunnel. That was when he saw it, Inkopolis, or what was left of it anyway. His eyes widened underneath his cap when he realised what may have happened,
"Alex! Janna!" He called out in a panic to no avail, he didn't even mean to shout, but the environment worried him greatly. Because of this, he didn't notice the woman making his way to him, and when she grabbed his arm, he initially tried to escape. But when he saw her face, he calmed down. Maybe it was the fact that he recognised Callie that made him stop, or the fact that he could had a chance of receiving some answers now he saw someone he knew, and so instead he fell silent.

He'd find out what happened, and this didn't happen over night, no need to push for information. Rushing will only lead to rookie mistakes.

Callie looked at Maxwell and humphed slightly. She was actually almost weirded out that he hadn't asked for anything but she wasn't going to spill any beans yet. She gets to the Battle Tower lobby with him still in tow, and entered the lobby. She had set directions for Bluefin Depot once more before the transportation device started whirring. It also took the same one minute to actually start working. When it finally transportation the two to Bluefin Depot. You were grettrd by a now somewhat strange sight. The Inklings there weren't training as they were but seemingly having lunch. Marie was sitting where she always sat with the smallest hint of a smile. Callie didn't know what to say.
" Cuz', what's the meaning of this?"Callie whisper hisses to her cousin.
"They did need a break Callie,"Marie simply answers and the older cousin sighs.
"Whatever,"Callie says, turning back,"If you need any sort of help, ask my cousin. Okay?" She then walks back into the teleportation device back to Inkopolis.

Maxwell turns to watch Callie go with an emotionless glance, although in his mind he raised an eyebrow to the lady's antics. "Cuz? Reminds me of back-" He noticed he was talking aloud. He guessed he must of still be shaken by the thoughts of his siblings on the missing for him to to be speaking directly what was on his mind. The green clad inkling took a few steps towards Marie and spoke up. "I'm sure you've been asked the same question a thousand times given the number of people here, but I must ask, what happened?"

"Well, as you can tell,"Marie starts,"Inklings and Octarians are at war in the Second Great Turf War. The Inkling girl that brought you here is usually found on both sides of territory. She claims that she is on the Octarian's side but she helps anyone she finds if she wanted to." She coughs once and looks at the feasting Inklings with empty eyes. "Why..?"she asks aloud to herself probably,"Why did they kill him? Why did we kill him?" She was loosely referring to Captain Cuttlefish and DJ Octavio.

"And why did two mistakes spiral off into a war that affects innocent children in a way that'll mean they never get to reach their adults years... I've been questioning our foolishness since the day I picked up a history book. I was hoping we'd learnt to learn from our past. I should of done more than hope..." Maxwell spoke up after listening to what Marie had to say. He sighed once again as he looked up to the sky, revealing a little more of the blank look on his face hidden by his fashion cap. He then glanced back over to the adored celebrity before continuing. "So then, what do you want me to do now?" @Inklette and Octa

Tyler was more than confused now at the two Inklings comments regarding the Octolings and their battle training. I doubt the Octolings aren't readying themselves for war. He thought, walking away. Inklette told me we would meet again in battle, and they killed Callie and Marie's Grandfather in revenge for DJ Octavio, knowing well they weren't going to sit well with that. Getting a sandwich since it was "lunch break" he laments in his thoughts some more. Callie is... way less cheerful and upbeat like she always was, and Marie is very depressed... The other Inklings around me may die. I might die in this war. No... I can't think like that. I better do the best I can to help win this war, for all of them. Getting up after finishing his sandwich, he heads to a nearby training area for newbies, and whipping out his Octobrush Nouveau, he holds it tightly, giving a look determination.

"Well, as of right now, you should get a quick bite,"Marie says expressionless,"The Inklings here don't get too many breaks with Callie around. I almost worry about their well-being... But nevertheless, you should get to the lower decks to start training as soon as lunch is over." Marie soon looks under her chair to get some of her own lunch which were crabby cakes. @Templar

Some female Inklings were in that area seemingly gossiping over something. A green Inkling with a Bobble Hat, a Retro Sweat, and LE Soccer Cleats seemed to lead the small team. The other three all had bobble hats but the similarities ended there. The second was purple with an Octo Tee and Octoling boots, the third was yellow with an Octarian Forge Jacket and Blue Lo-Tops and the last was sky blue with Squid Girl gear. Obviously, whatever they were talking about wasn't anywhere loud enough to eavesdrop on them if he wanted to

Maxwell nodded at her fairly monotone reply, and as he did so he looked down to see her pull out her own lunch, which caused him to smile ever so slightly. "Then I am glad you are making sure to look out for them... And yourself." He said this only because 'benevolent' leaders tended to meet an early end simply because they were so focused on everyone else that they forgot to keep themselves alive, therefore losing themselves to sickness. "Though I'm sure they'd only be glad if you joined them to eat as well." He said this more for her sake than for them however, as getting lost in one's thoughts during such dire times is... unlikely to yield good results. But, he didn't truly know Callie, so he didn't push his point and simply left to go get something to eat as she had suggested. @Inklette and Octa

As he walked over to the lunch table he noticed a yellow inkling with a rather large hat other his head, presumably squid nordic headgear, walk off after finishing his sandwich. While he couldn't see much, he sighed when he saw the youth on his face. He took a guess that he must of recently got his humanoid form, making him around 14-15 years of age. Maxwell couldn't help but feel bad for him as he took a bite into a sandwich he took from the table. He could only hope the poor kid survived. Despite not having much of an appetite he'd grown up knowing not to waste food given to him, hence he managed to finish his sandwich, and decided that the inkling he did not know was named Tyler, was likely headed to the same 'lower decks' that Callie had spoke of. So from memory of him walking off, he made his way down to the destination he was expected to go. @MacSmitty

He had no idea the place was for newbies, since Callie hadn't mentioned that to him. Which may have meant he would of outranked them since he was A+ rank before the war started. He also noticed by the inklings there he may have been the oldest considering he was 23, but he didn't want to make any assumptions and annoy a few people, so he stayed silent as stood beside Tyler while he looked around. @MacSmitty @Inklette and Octa

Tyler accidently bumped into Maxwell when he walked nearby him. "Oh. Sorry. Uh... My name is Tyler." He says introducing himself. "Hey... since your older than me, your likely to know more advanced techniques in battle, can you teach some?" He asks, then hearing noise coming from several female Inklings.
"What are they talking about...?" He mutters.

Marie sighs and gets up silently. 'Ten minutes until Callie gets back,'she thinks to herself as she walks towards the Inklings that were having lunch. She had decided overall to follow Maxwell's small request because who knew if something bad happened to them? Maybe she could teach these Inklings her fresh tactics and whatnot? She sighs and sits down on the floor in the middle deck just far away enough so many can see her from all three decks.

"So, as you know,"the green Inkling started,"An Inkling girl has taken to the Octarian side."
"Don't you mean Inklette?"the purple Inkling adds,"She used to be like... Super fresh. Like, her and that friend of hers pretty much rivaled the Squid Sisters."
"Well, she was famous and all but I kinda don't blame her,"the yellow Inkling quickly says soon after,"She's got long time history with her quote on quote 'family.'"
"Well, if I were in her boots I would've been the same,"the sky blue Inkling says to finish,"Its treason either way so it wouldn't make much of a difference." The four soon babbled on about the past before this all happened.

Sonata blinked. She was always trying to get out of military jobs, but for once someone was telling her to go snack and nap ...Weren't they? ...Did she already do something right? Was this some kind of incentive?
This was... perplexing.

The only thing she found herself able to say was a stiff, "...I'll be ready once you've found a partner," but Octa seemed to have just left.

Sonata stood around wondering about the current circumstances ...and this new Commander. Maybe the situation wasn't as weird as she perceived it. Things had changed so much now that the DJ was ...gone.

Sonata quickly turned to explore the building, in seek of food and a sleeping area, but she glanced back to where the Octoling lady had left. Hmm, curious person.

But food, maybe a bed ...Where to now? Maybe she'd head to left and see if she could round up a bite to eat.((@Inklette and Octa))

"No problem. And mine is Maxwell." He replied swiftly to his first line, afterwards the green inkling let him speak until he finished, following Tyler's gaze he saw the girls talking and decided to pay attention when he heard the word 'Octarian'. The only inkling he could imagine doing that was the one he met in the tunnel less than an hour, but it made him wonder why he didn't recognise her if she was supposed to be as famous as she was. 'Hate to say it, but I might just be too old to know who she is.' he thought in his head as he smiled internally, knowing it was probably just down to the fact he didn't keep up with popular idols, or that they weren't one in the same inkling.
"I'm not particular sure, Tyler." He replied in answer to the inkling gripping his Octobrush somewhat tightly. "Though in answer to your first question, I can help you out. But first, what you do need to know is I'm planning to teach you from the ground up. Since if the fundamentals are wrong, any advance techniques will be wasted. You cool with that?" Maxwell looked back into the squid kid's eyes through his cap as he said this. If they were going to do this, he wasn't going to mess around. He'd be thorough, as unless there are solid teachers here, half and miss information is a good way to get killed. And he doubted he was going to be sent out into a mission straight away, so he'd have time. Well, at least 3 days of time, which is all Maxwell needed. @MacSmitty

Though because he was looking backwards, in his peripheral vision he could see Marie sitting down on the middle deck where people see her, and had to stop himself from shaking his head with a smile while he thought in his head. 'She's getting closer, and by being in visible view she gives us a morale boost, but if she's too far away will inklings still approach her? I said for her sake, but it still feels like she's thinking about us before herself. Maybe the atsmosphere is relaxed enough that they will go up to her just on sight but... Ah the woman is too kind for her own damn good. Though it doesn't make her any less likable. 'Goodness sake she got me thinking about her now.' @Inklette and Octa
