Boy came from eBay. He's one of the first-run Inklings; his tank color doesn't match his tentacles.

the 2" World of Nintendo boy I got at walmart, he's in the latest wave of the 2" figures.

The werewolf suits are handmade, the shopping cart was a gift from a friend, and the pumpkins are just hollowed out foam ones from the dollar store =p

I unfortunately do not have the money to buy them but I know where to get them now if I have a little extra. They are so cute! and I love nerdy video game figures! <3 Nice job on the home made wolf costumes btw!

Thanks! They were a little last-minute, haha. I made sweaters and scarves too for Christmas.

So the 3rd set of the mini-weapons arrived this evening...
(forgive the messy photo, I was in a hurry and our coffee table hasn't recovered from the holidays yet =p)

Much like its predecessors (set 1 and set 2), the pieces are nicely detailed and stands are easy to set up. Good work as usual, Bandai! The only weapons so far to require assembly have been the E-Liters - the Squiffers have their little barrel-clips as separate parts, though that doesn't necessarily count. The 4" squids can hold almost all of them. The exception in set 3 is the Range Blaster, though I'm sure with a little extra effort it could happen. I have pics of some of the other sets in use, if anyone wants me to post them here; they used to be in the old emotions thread =p

DEFINITELY looking forward to set 4.

I haven't seen anything about them YET...but considering we have replica Dualies already, it wouldn't surprise me if they're in the works. Jakks Pacific (makers of, among other things, the Bratz line of toys), are the ones working with Nintendo on most of the World of Nintendo merchandise. Their website is devoid of spoilers, unfortunately. This is the most news I've seen on the subject so far.

If they do bring us the splat2 squids, I hope they learn from the defects in the girl's design - aka the wonky knees, mostly.

I have an extra squid girl I'm going to try my hand at modding ;)

Dress-up squids are here! The full box contains one each of the signature Splat2 pink girl/green boy Inklings, and a yellow girl/purple boy as well (the next amiibos probably, if they do like they did with Splat1), and four sets of gear. My box also had a duplicate pink girl/green boy which my roomie claimed =p

This is Bandai's work, so the detail is really really good for their size. The arms and legs don't move, but their heads are ball-jointed, and so are their feet...by necessity, since the shoes pop off and back on with a satisfying little snap so you know they're properly on.

This is no Polly Pocket fashion, either. The figures themselves are a softer vinyl, but their shirts are all hard plastic. They snap on in two pieces:

with pegs to help them stay on both the squids and their adorable little stands. The headgear is particularly awesome and detailed (I kind of wish they'd done the Jellyvader/Squidvader and Noise-cancellers/Studio Phones instead of duplicates of the ones they did give us, but they're still great. The headphones actually flex and bend and tilt like real ones. It's easy to put this stuff on because there's a hole in the top of the figures' heads for the headgear to plug into, aaaand...

their ears come off! They're a little loose sometimes, so keep an eye out for that. Same with the boys' hair pieces which are also removable.

Sorry to say to those who were hoping these guys would be compatible with the Jakks Pacific squids - they're totally not, unless youwant your squid kids to have small siblings =p

They're only 2" tall - the same height as the mini squid figure.

Weapons set 2-2 is here!
(actually it arrived yesterday - circumstances delayed the unboxing)
This one has the Hero Shot Replica, Splat Brella, Aerosprays RG/MG, Splat Roller vanilla/Krak-On, and Octobrush vanilla/Nouveau.

The Octobrush and the Roller are both about the right size...

...unfortunately, the Aero is a little on the large side (as is the hero shot)

and the Brella seems a little small to me. It would almost be the right size for the minisquids.

except it's just that much too big :'D

Kisekae set 2 arrived today!

These guys come with the other alternate boy hairstyle, and Classic Girl. They're made of a softer vinyl than set 1 for some reason.

Boys come with an alternate tentacle piece...

...to facilitate the wearing of hats :D
Speaking of hats, the ones we get with this set are two King Flip Mesh caps and two beanies.

Plus the two new Zekko coats (I need to fix the QR codes for these now that I can see the backs of them...dangit), Squidkid sneakers and everyone's favorite Moto Boots.

TBH, I like the combos with the Easy-Stripe shirts =p

These are actually really adequately-sized for the 4" squids, if you're going for in-game size accuracy. The detail is just as awesome as I'd expect by now - you can even read the (English) text details on the 'zaps.

Sprinkler hats for everyone!
Most of them are pretty decently sized, though the Beakons are a little small and the Curling Bombs seem too large, but hey. It's still Bandai quality. I personally love the translucence on the Splat Bombs and the transparent Burst Bombs. The Disruptor/Toxic Mist looks pretty awesome as well.

I'll have to keep 'em all in the kids' shopping cart until I can figure out how to add them to the display board.

Suction Bombs are of course my favorites. I may be biased, though.
Interestingly enough, they come with stickers instead of their labels being printed on as I'd have expected. Seeing as I suck at lining things up right I had a moment of despair, until I realized they have little posts molded into them to help you line the stickers up right.

I call this one Bob, and the other one George, and you can have them when you pry them from my cold, dead, fishy hands.
