what is your favorite weapon and why?

i want to talk about what people have said so far but that would be a ridiculously huge message so im just stuck with just liking every message

everything you all been saying is so interesting and fun! it’s so cool that we have not only such good variety but also quality in weapons in the game we can fall in love with.

At this point we should make a fan encyclopedia of everyone reviewing their favourite weapons

I was an inkbrush main in splatoon 2 until I found my beloved carbon roller deco <3. I loved zipping around and doing as much as I could before I inevitably got splatted. The burst bomb sub was so good,,,
In Splatoon 3, though, I think they made the carbon roller weaker, so I drifted between different weapons. Currently, my favorite is the splatling kind of weapon, specifically the heavy splatling and the ballpoint pen one. I love the ability to shoot for a long time, especially since I usually have bad aim haha. I also feel that I'm more useful staying back, inking, and annoying the other team than if I was rabidly zipping around trying to ink and splat as much as possible (although the mad dash is pretty fun if I'm good with the weapon). I'm not very good at using splatlings, but I feel like I'm slowly getting better! :}

I'm going to talk about my two favorite weapons here Splat Roller and Pain Brush

Splat Roller: Back in Splatoon 1 I was dog water I had no idea what I was doing I was unironically running tenacity I was a mess and I struggled to play any weapon that required me to aim and back then splat roller was absurdly easy with damage up and kraken being kraken so yes I admit the reason why I played Splat Roller in the first place was because it carried me, But over time the reason I played it stop being because it carried me but more because I'm actually having fun with it. So much so that it became my most played weapon in that game. Then Splatoon 2 rolled around and Roller became not so good with a funny special called ink armor running rampant but strangely I didn't stop playing the weapon in fact my bond with the weapon gotten even stronger as beating a team using ink armor felt satisfying and it became the weapon with the most amount of paint in my arsenal. Now here I'm am now still playing splat roller and surprise, surprise Splat Roller is still my most played weapon. Truthfully I don't know what is so enjoyable about the weapon but for a me to play the same weapon for almost 8 years at this point

Pain Brush: Fun fact there haven't been a weapon that I enjoyed as much as splat roller until Pain came out. I mean I did play other weapons but there haven't been that weapon that made me go YES! So Roller been pretty lonely as my favorite that was until one day Pain Brush was revealed. I saw it use curling bomb and instantly my brain thought of Splat Roller as hey it's also a melee weapon with curling. Of course now I know that these are not the same but back then I thought that it would be splat roller 2.0 so right away it became the first weapon I played when sizzle season 23 dropped. At first I wasn't really getting it since it was slower than what I'm am use to. But over time I gotten over the speed, but the weapon still felt weak. Then the paint of the weapon got buffed and it was noticeable but it still felt weak right when I thought about dropping it 5.1.0 dropped and not only did the ink recovery get buffed but the damage too this cemented the weapon as my second favorite

As for third favorite there ain't none again I do enjoy other weapons but there is not really a weapon that I can consider to be a third favorite.
