Tournament's done! Congratulations to our winners - team anything big, consisting of @isaac4 @Azure ST @Azhdarcho @LemonBoy @ Fox the Box (no SB account)! Also props to Tartar Nation for an incredibly close second place, with @SecretAgentNeo @Vidknight @neonscreenlight @OnePotWonder, and Deep Sea Interlude for winning our Redemption Bracket, captained by @C-53. Here's the VOD if you want to rewatch any of it, although fair warning that my throat dies midway through. Massive thank you to everyone for making it out to this. I know many teams wanted to play in other tournaments today but chose this silly little bracket first and foremost.

So, what's next? The turnout here definitely makes me want to plan another one but I want to hear from you guys. Do you have any feedback? Could I have done anything better, do you want a gimmick tournament next, or something else? Please share if you have anything!

I'll say here and now - to everyone that wants another one of these, it's absolutely, 100% going to happen. Too many people have told me they've had a lot of fun today or were disappointed that they had to miss out on this one. The big question for me is when. Only thing I've really decided on is it proooobably being some point early January and also being on a Saturday just so people who are busy on Sundays can get a chance to play. I'm also unsure if people would prefer a gimmick tournament over a more serious one like we had today or if there were any big gripes with the maplist (FREE UNDERTOW) but there's no need to cross that bridge just yet.

For now I think I just need to rest LOL

I think a fairly standard tournament is what I would hope for, save for a few tweaks.

- A ban on special-improving abilities for common cooler weapons, like zap or pencil
- No duplicate special weapons.

(I may be biased on the former point, being a heavy edit main, but I still ask it be considered)

Next one should probs still be a more standard one. But also I would love a gimmick tourney! Would be nice to play in one of those limited weapon pool/gimmick-based weapon pool tourneys. So many of them happen at like 2 am or something.

But hey! Had fun playing againts folks here. Would absolutely play again regardless of format

Sorry, I meant to respond to this earlier.

I would be willing to try something like this on paper but in practice I don't think this specific rule would end up doing much. The main comps for the top four teams had two Tri Nouveaus, vanilla Dapple, and the last one went coolerless. I think there were one, maaaaybe two N-ZAP players in this entire tournament (Genesis Wave has had days with a few different Tacticooler weapons and I don't know what comp they ran).

If anything though it could be more fun if we were to just outright ban Tacticooler. I know a lot of comps felt like they needed a cooler weapon and it's a bit more awkward at this level where people aren't always playing top tier weapons. At least one person will have to be put off of their favorite weapon just to fill in a comp building checkbox that might not even feel as impactful as it is. I haven't gotten too many direct complaints about this but this much is still an interesting idea. I'll keep it in mind for next time.
