It does for the most part. Once you get 2 damage mains you can take out someone with 3 defense in 2 shots. so you would only need 3 mains if you wanted to defend against 3 mains + subs
I would say that 2 damage up mains is ideal for the the .52 gal
Assuming you got knockouts every single game you could get to level 50 in 116 games. Of course if you got knockout out every single game it would take about 577 games, so it's going to be a while no matter what.
A good way to practice is to go into the training dummy room and practice snapping awkward shots to the dummies. Try to get it so you can hit every single shot no matter what weird angle its at. If you can't seem to do it try adjusting your motion control sensitivity.
In the case of the .52 Gal damage up is a completely defensive ability. So you need to put as many damage ups as you expect the enemy will wear defense ups to counteract them.
If you wear 1 damage up but the enemy wears 2 defense up the .52 gal will become a 3 hit kill.

Actually I think you are missing the big picture. Anyone who...
If you don't care about splatfest power why are you in this thread?
Stupid Troll...
"This thread has no value to me so I must inform everyone that it has no value to me! Surely everyone will give a crap!"
You don't think 100 people are going to do it to get on the list?
The point is the top 100 is meaningless, especially towards the end of the splatfest.
Also, I think you over estimate the importance of ranked save scumming. Anyone who save scums there way to S+ isn't going to play solo queue...
So I figured this probably needed to be talked about. The fact that you can save scum to make sure your splatfest power only goes up. I personally confirmed that it can be done and that the splatnet read out will match the scummed value.
That kind of makes splatfest power a cheat to win kind of...
