Enough With The Furries

I'm a furry, but I haven't played the second game yet. But this post got me pretty "fired up" and I wanted to share my thoughts.

I have seen some of the furry artwork that gets posted on Splatoon 2 (sometimes people post it onto other social media sites like Reddit and Tumblr) and honestly it's not bad. I'm sure there's probably a ton of it, and I get seeing so much of one thing can get old, but as long as the art isn't inappropriate (and if it is, just report it), there shouldn't be a problem. I mean, you're there to play the game. If you want to look around the square, that's fine. But complaining about what another person has posted instead of ignoring it and moving on just seems kinda silly to me. I'm not sure how frequently furry art gets posted, but if someone wants to draw an anthropomorphic wolf, so be it. It isn't hurting you.

Now, if people are calling each other out, starting fights, posting lewd artwork and such, then yea that's a problem. But there's a report button. So use it.

I have no problems with furries. They mind their business, I mind my business. I am not a furry myself, though technically one would consider me an "ally" considering I have no problems with them and I am defending furries right now.

Fanservice, pornography content is problematic regardless of the content being related to furry, humans or any other kind of fetish, fictional or not. A lot of people seem to think every furry is some kind of sexual deviant, but that is just stupid prejudice. Personally, I usually report people who post sexual content (explicit or suggestive).

I suggest you mind your own business, too, thread creator. If someone post sexual (NSFW) content of any kind, report it, as far as I know, this forum is supposed to be safe for work and honestly, sexual content of little squid kids is just bizarre, even if it wasn't against the rules.

P.S.: Do keep in mind you are playing a game with anthropomorphic/furry characters. To not expect some folks from the furry community to enjoy the game is just silly. It is a very well made game, fun, with no disrespect towards any kind of people, so it is also natural that minorities (like furries) are attracted to the game.

This is nearly 3 months old now, this issue has already resolved itself.
This had also been sitting dormant for quite some time before someone decided to bring it up again.
The only reason it still is and will be an issue is that you cannot hold your tongues over a meaningless topic of discussion.
There is absolutely no reason to continue griping over it.

So express your emotions gets destroyed over an argument, but this thread which has been nothing BUT arguments is allowed to sit here and continually gather contentious comments like Reila telling Agent Z to mind their own business months after the fact like that's going to accomplish anything. Agent Z is right, nothing good will come of this being left open, and yet here we are. MAKES SENSE! Step right up! Be the next to say your piece about this long-dead trend and the thread creator without actually reading any of the thread! Sheesh...
