Wish inks a path, swims to where the Golden Eggs are, grabs one, and swims back to the basket. Mac ends up encountering a Steelhead, which throws its bomb. The bomb expands and explodes, damaging Mac.

"I have an idea, lure the Steel Eel so that its driver is completely exposed, then our co-workers can take it down." Coral explains his plan.

"Sounds like a good idea." Kelp goes along with the plan, so she tries to get the Steel Eel driver to notice her.

"Hey Mac and Wish, let's get this Steel Eel!" Coral says, hoping his plan to get rid of the Steel Eel works.

Meanwhile back at the boat, Clam is becoming nervous.

"Coral, what are you trying to do?" Clam thinks.

"Got it!" Mac says. Wish nods, moving in front of the Steel Eel, goading it into following him. Mac inks around Wish, who swims foward. The driver is exposed, and Mac takes the opportunity to splat it. It is soon splatted, leaving behind three Golden Eggs. Mac takes one, as does Wish. They place the Golden Eggs in the egg basket, making the quota a bit closer to meet.

Kelp takes the remaining Golden Egg and deposits it, meeting the quota for the wave.

After the four Super Jump back to 'spawn' and swap weapons (Mac has the Dualie Squelchers, while Wish has the Range Blaster), the second wave starts. The alarm sounds, and some fog rolls in, quite thick. The thick fog makes it difficult to see several Boss Salmonids approaching, including a Steelhead, a Steel Eel, a Drizzler, a Stinger, and a Flyfish. "みんな！霧に注意!" [Everyone! Careful of fog!] Wish warns. He can barely see, as the fog is so thick.

Kelp now gets the Ballpoint Splatling while Coral now gets the Splattershot Pro.

"What the? I can't see them!" Clam thinks.

The Steelhead throws its bomb, which lands near Wish and Mac. It soon expands and explodes, damaging Wish and splatting Mac. The Drizzler uses its Ink Storm, while the Stinger fires a Sting Ray and the Flyfish launches Tenta Missles. Wish fires at Mac's ink tank, reviving him. Mac gets a crazed look in his eyes, and the Mew-turned-Inkling figure swims over to the Stinger to splat it. The Ink Storm may give a clue as to where the Boss Salmonids are, so Wish swims around it and soon comes face-to-face with the Drizzler. The Steel Eel chases Coral and Kelp, inking the ground below it while it chases them.

"Watch out!" Coral points to the Steel Eel.

"Not again!" Kelp exclaims.

Kelp lures the Steel Eel while Coral gets to a higher platform where he can splat the driver, once the driver is exposed, he splats it, three Golden Eggs taking its place.

Coral and Kelp each take a Golden Egg and head to the basket.

Wish manages to splat the Drizzler, and Mac manages to splat the Stinger, each leaving behind three Golden Eggs. Mac takes a Golden Egg, Wish takes another, and they swim to the basket and place the Golden Eggs in. The crazed look in Mac's eyes does not disappear, as he immediately heads to gather the other Golden Eggs, place them in the egg basket, and defeat the Flyfish. Wish follows Mac, wanting to help. Mac throws a Splat Bomb in one of the baskets, and the left basket soon breaks. This might help everyone else. He and Wish gather some Golden Eggs, swim to the egg basket, and place them in.

After placing in the Golden Eggs, Coral and Kelp head to pick up the Golden Eggs dropped by the Stinger.

Wish also helps with the Golden Eggs, while Mac tosses a Splat Bomb into the remaining basket. The Splat Bomb soon explodes and the right basket breaks, leaving the Flyfish out of commission and leaving behind some Golden Eggs. Mac takes a Golden Egg, swimming to the egg basket and placing it in.

Just in time, Coral and Kelp place the Golden Eggs into the basket right as the wave ends. The fog disappears as the Salmonids return to the water once more.

"That was a close one." Coral says.

"Yes, this would've been our first failed shift." Kelp responds.

Meanwhile back at the boat, Clam thinks to himself.

"How did they survive? It's looking like I was worried for nothing." the thought comes up in Clam's mind.

The final wave starts, no fog to speak of. The tide rises, becoming high tide and blocking off the bottom portion of the stage. The alert sounds, as multiple Steelheads, Scrappers, and Stingers approach. Chums, Smallfries, and Cohocks follow. Wish gets loaned the Ballpoint Splatling, and Mac gets loaned the Range Blaster. Mac immediately goes to splat the Scrappers, while Wish heads off to splat the Steelheads.

Coral immediately start going after the Stingers and starts shooting ink from the Dualie Squelchers at the Salmonid's pots. Kelp helps the crew by shooting ink from the Splattershot Pro to splat the lesser Salmonids.

"Oh yes!" Coral exclaims as he manages to splat the Stinger and picks up one of the three Golden Eggs dropped by it.

Mac manages to splat a Scrapper, and Wish manages to splat a Steelhead. They gather two Golden Eggs and swim to the egg basket. They then swim back to try and splat more Scrappers and Steelheads, but the many Boss Salmonids in combination with the lessers prove to be too much for them, splatting them.

Kelp notices the two getting splatted right as she picks up a Golden Egg.

"There are too many Salmonids between me and them! How are we-" Kelp also gets splatted by many of the lesser Salmonids swarming her.

"Looks like it's up to me." Coral says as he throws a Splat Bomb to where Wish was splatted, hoping the blast is enough to revive him, he then dodge rolls out of the way of the lesser Salmonid crowd, getting just enough ink to shoot at Mac's ink tank. Before long, Coral gets splatted.

Meanwhile, back at the boat...

"No! I hope this can somehow be recovered." Clam exclaims.

Mac and Wish are revived, and they rush to splat the Salmonids and revive Coral and Kelp. Mac throws a Splat Bomb towards Coral's ink tank, and Wish fires the Ballpoint Splatling after charging, aiming for Kelp's ink tank. Mac throws another Splat Bomb towards the Scrappers, and Wish fully charges the Ballpoint Splatling and fires it at the Stingers.

With both Coral and Kelp revived, they start going for more Scrappers that get near them as well as splatting a lot of the lesser Salmonids to ease the pressure on the crew.

"Let's get this done!" Coral says as he picks up a Golden Egg dropped by the Scrapper.

Kelp picks up Golden Egg, now she and Coral deposit them into the basket.

Back at the boat again...

"Yes! My little bro managed to save this!" Clam thinks to himself.

Wish and Mac splat as many Salmonids as they can, including a Stinger. They pick up some Golden Eggs and deposit them into the egg basket, going back for more.

Coral notices a fishing bobber approaching Kelp.

"Watch out for that Maws!" Coral exclaims.

"Where?!" Kelp tries to see, only to get splatted by being swallowed up by the Maws.
