A thread for things that happen which don't quite cut it into The Bragging Thread - name something that you perhaps do on a regular basis, perhaps just once, which isn't game-changing but felt so satisfying and instilled a little pride in you. It doesn't have to entail splatting someone - maybe you made an awesome manoeuvre holding the Rainmaker? Or something stupid which you did thinking 'this is never gonna work' and yet succeed in, like throwing a Splat Bomb over a wall and taking out an opponent out of sight.

For my example (which triggered the idea for this thread) - every time I direct-hit someone completely out of sight on a ledge with a Sloshing Machine, I actually let out a little maniacal laugh.

It has only happened once (though I rarely try) on a splat zones museum S rank room.

I got an enemy carbon roller to squid party with me for about 15 seconds during the first minute of the match.
After one of us got splatted (I can't recall which of us) we re-spawned and played the match as usual, and it was hella close: My team won by 2 or 3 points after stopping their overtime push.
I would have liked to carry the bloopin' on for 30 seconds and then super jump away but oh well , I still felt the magic ;)

On a more gameplay mechanic finesse level, I love getting splats via suction bombs/splash walls placed on super jump points.

@Cuttleshock, Yep! Gotta love those sloshing machine trick shots. It's all the more sweeter when a teammate witnesses your trick shot and gives you a "Booyah!/Nice!"

My little triumph is whenever using a charger and someone is being sneaky, out of range, or closing in too fast for a full charge, I can uselessly spam my shots (pew pew pew!) in that direction and a teammate handles the situation. They may sometimes get splatted or even trade, but it always makes me happy when they get the message.

It was a match on Camp Triggerfish a couple days ago. We were having a rough time, the enemy team had us in a real bad position. One of the opposing squiddos popped a Kraken in our base, taking me out in the process. And I respawned to the sight of my teammates mass-firing at the Kraken, all trying to fight it off. By the time I got there and joined in, he'd seen the writing on the wall and Super Jumped away.

I feel that that moment of cooperation galvanized us, sent us into overdrive, made us pull out the clutch, etc. However you wanna say it, we turned the tables pretty solidly, and by the match's end 'twas us that had the enemy pinned down.

Sprinkler kills. Sprinkler kills are just the best.

I also once threw a splash wall right on top of an enemy squid, he instantly exploded. I think it was the rainmaker carrier too, because a few moments later the rainmaker shield popped, like almost instantantly, since the splah wall was still there right next to the rainmaker shield. Too bad there weren't any enemies round, a splah wall ace would have been the best thing ever.

Most satisfying small moments:

Walleye - Flung a Sprinkler over a Splash Wall. Got a splat offa them.

Moray- Sneaking up the side of a wall, flanking the sniper, then advancing and aggressively dropping their backup.

Flounder Heights - Advancing right past enemies shooting at me with the Rainmaker in hand and supported by escorts, seemingly untouchable, to successfully touchdown.

Arowana: During a Splatfest, I DOMINATED the enemy's side alley after sneaking past a firefight, circling around to backstab them and solidify mid control. #goteampirates

Kelp Dome: Breaking from the pack to stop a comeback win in Overtime by rushing to the far corner and intercepting the rainmaker. During Inkbrush training, aggressively solidifying control of the middle by swooping in and splatting three opponents in rapid succession before they could launch their inkstrikes.

Saltspray Rig: Managing to stall/hold the top Splat Zone for long enough to solidify our lead. Landing Suctions on top of the high perches. Landing Sprinklers in awkward places on the top area to contest area control and create opportunities to sneak up with my Brush.

Blackbelly: Doing an extremely aggressive Rainmaker touchdown personally in under 20 seconds.

Triggerfish: Sneaking up to the enemy side and backstabbing a sniper, then tying up the turf in front of their spawn for about ten seconds. Oh so satisfying. #rightbehindyou

Mackerel: Climbing a forklift, enemy in hot pursuit. I 180 and jump over and behind them as they try to follow me up, and splat them as I land with a beautiful backstab manuver. Zandatsu!

The other day, right after respawning on Piranha Pit, I saw a teammate was engaged in a 1vs1 in the narrow corridor between the drop down from our base and the conveyor belts in mid. The enemy was running away (presumably because they had less range and retreating was their only option). So seeing this, I threw a Splat Bomb slightly ahead of them, predicting they would keep going in the same direction. And they did—right into the explosion!

I just did this:

Rainmaker Camp Triggerfish with the Heavy Splatling Remix.
The Rainmaker is on the grates over their plat.

This is what happens.

I pop the Rainmaker, kill an enemy that tries to get it while walking towards it.
I then grab the Rainmaker and run, but there's a Tri-Slosher.
Luckily, there was one of those little blocks that you can paint, and it was our color.

I Squid Jump on it and use that momemtum to jump over the SLOSH.
Then I swimmed for my Woomy life and dunked the RM.

The game before had me killing people with Wails left and right.

I also won a game of Arowana Splat Zones by throwing a sprinkler on their palm tree next to Ramp.

Landing several Seekers onto unsuspecting opponents had never felt so good as that one moment in the last few seconds of a match at Saltspray. Especially when one of the victims was an E-Liter scope user.

Whenever i pull off a successful retreat by superjumping back to base. I allmost feel compelled to yell "Seeya, suckers!"
True. But a lot of the time, lag/I ran away too late results in a splat mid air. Once I got splatted after super jumping away from a 1v1, landed at base, and launched my Inkstrike. *shug* I need to remember to run away sooner.

Surprise seeker kills are the best. I don't use them very often, but when I do I typically just use them for pressuring or zoning. I was playing the .52 deco on Walleye TW and kept throwing seekers up their ramp. I took out like 3 or 4 of them with seekers, almost unintentionally. The best part was that a buddy of mine was over just hanging out and we both had a good laugh.

Holding down an area when you are the last one alive feels good... even more when teammates super jump back to you.
Also, sprinkler kills that pop up from time to time are just hilarious.

Another one is successfully challenging chargers... As if you were the only one with super long range! HAH!
Love me some Hydra Splatling stuff.

Enemy chargers annoy me, and so can ally chargers. When they're on the ball though, it's quite the fun times to buddy up with them - I've had many matches where I hang out with the e-liter and aim around enemies with my jet whilst zoning, setting them up for my fellow sniper to take them down.

I once led a Rainmaker carrier with a seeker on Moray Towers. I was coming down from respawning and threw one hoping it would perfectly lead him (he was coming across the middle of the stage) and it did. I squid partied hard after that.

Won an a+ match in tc at moray yesterday. One of our players poofed at the begining. We won even tho we were a man down the whole time. Each of us has kd ratios of 15 plus kills with less than 5 deaths. I was kinda surprised
