Pirates would have 264 and Ninjas would have 236. However, it would be Ninja victory if it was 2x win rate (195-146) and a Pirate's close victory if it was 3x win rate (205-195).

Indeed. I'm not even sure why Nintendo counts popularity anymore; it's pretty obvious they don't like teams winning by popularity, so why have it in the first place? o_O
And that the thing. Unless they make it meaningful to put it in the calculation in the first place (make it multiplicative in some way), it's just not going to matter much if the win percentage is too wide.
Looks more like a DC to me. Even as a Pirate King, I was DC'ing a lot along with occasional "droppers" as well. So don't think one side only had cheaters.
I skipped through bits and pieces of that video, if you are talking about that teammate who was standing still and then at the end there were disconnectors, as a Pirates member I also had a few saboteurs and disconnectors on my teams.
Yeah, now we'll just complain about losing all but one! >:3

I'm speaking for all matches, Splatfest or not. Why should you go hard on the other team if they have a DC'd teammate or 2?
...You sure you aren't searching for ways to hate our team? The fact that you said "every pirate is a cheater" and swore upon it doesn't help, not to mention the definition of cheating never comes into play here. Maybe they wanted to keep inking to, you know, get more turf points for cash? And even if they didn't have that intention, I wouldn't expect them to do anything else except mess around, and some people do not really care for that, so they maybe just wanted to be sure they won instead.
Uh huh, sure. Let's all ignore "unfair" and "have mercy" because that's what a pirate is in a nutshell!
