Splatoon 3 new splatoween announced

I think my username explains what my choice is going to be for this fest.

Also the splatoween gear from splat 2 comes back. I know that a lot of people are massive fans of the lil devil horns me personally I'm looking towards the hockey mask.

i haven’t gotten on my switch yet to claim the rewards (don’t spoil i’m about to do that) but i wonder how they handled the li’l devil horns gendered variants. i feel like they sometimes split the gendered gear into two variants and sometimes keep it as one item that changes appearance based on your Style. i play as a masc octoling and i am unwilling to change that just to wear a piece of gear but i want the many sparkles lol

EDIT: secret third thing, they got rid of the masc variant and gave everyone the many sparkles it looks like? fair tbh

but wait - in splatoon i am an aggro frontliney trying-to-get-in-your-face-or-behind-your-back-and-kill-you player. that feels most aligned with ninja. if my octoling was put in a fantasy world, would he be a (fantasy) ninja??

im probably not picking ninja i am less naturally drawn to it than wizard or knight but much to consider. it’s literally not as deep as i’m making it

Oh and to be like a true knight, I will be using a Splatana for the Splatfest. I hope this Splatfest has the unique feature where using the headgear and shoes of the set will make you wear the shirt part of the set too, they definitely did something like that for the Splatoon 2 version.

MAN am I happy about the gear returning. While I think overall the Splat3 Splatoween set is better overall (Splat2 Splatoween gear fears more like just accessories, whereas Splat3 Splatoween gear genuinely feels like parts of costumes), the Li'l Devil Horns are something I've GREATLY wanted, since I missed out on them as someone who never played Splat2. The little face decals... they're SOOOO adorable. They're my favorite Splatoween gear piece, though Swim Reaper is a CLOSE second (I just love how it's both Ghostface AND Cthulu! That's so clever!). I'm also surprised and excited that it's a new fest! I was fully under the impression it'd just be Zombies V Skeletons V Ghosts again (And was fully prepared to agonize over my choice again. Realistically my answer is zombies, but in my heart, Frye's cute outfit wins me over 100%), so this is a fun surprise! I don't know what team I'm going to pick (I honestly don't actually have much of an opinion over this fest as a whole. Maybe Knights?), but it's still such a fun little surprise to get new gear AND a new fest theme
