So what 'dailies' do y'all actually do daily and why/why not? (Note that I mean 'daily' as 'every day that you play the game' and not necessarily as Every Single Day Ever With No Breaks lol.)
If you DON'T do the discounted shell-out machine pull, why not?
If you get on to play specifically for the daily catalog points bonus (I guess that's about to be much less important now with the reused catalogs, but right now it may still be worth it for the conch shells!), what is your go-to mode for achieving that? I know a lot of folks consider salmon to be the most reliable, while others go to turf to keep it casual or to ranked in hopes of getting a quick KO. Granted, if you're getting on for a longer play session anyway it doesn't really matter.
If you check the shops every day, is there something in particular you're looking/hoping for? Like I'm working on getting all the gold gear badges right now, so I'm keeping an eye out for brands I still need the badges for.
I don't see a lot of people talking about doing the Shel-drone or Cipher's daily find and I wonder if those who do actually are in the minority or if it just feels like it. So why or why not do you do those?
I think they're fun and possibly a bit underrated. It's essentially two extra gambling attempts with a different prize pool. A smaller prize pool for sure, but they're the only way to get party 2x cash tickets outside of the catalog/special promotions and (perhaps more importantly) can also give you regular 2x cash tickets, both of which the shell-out machine doesn't have any chance of giving you. And both things have a 10% chance of giving you 5 of a random ability chunk (whereas the shell-out machine has a 10% chance of giving you just 3). While you have the highest chance of getting locker decorations (and that may only matter to you if you're going for completionism... I don't know anyone who actually wants 10 kidney anatomy models.... ), once you max out on those you just get cash instead. You also have a 10% chance of getting 30k from Cipher which is certainly more cash than you'll ever get from the shell-out machine! (And then if you want you can even... go and put it right into the shell-out machine, lol) All in all it feels like not a bad deal for something you get for essentially 'free'... if you already enjoy playing those parts of the game often enough to have the eggs/prlz for them. For me personally it's a nice excuse to play more side order which is a lot of fun but it often gets back-burnered in favor of other priorities. And I still use Deadly Dance Hall (and occasionally After Alterna if I am feeling spicy) as a mechanical/mental warm-up anyway so I'm not ever at a shortage for power eggs. But I can see it starting to feel grindy if you had to go out of your way to do it.
Lastly, are the daily bonus incentives compelling enough to persuade you to boot up the game just to do them, or do you only bother doing them if you're getting on for a longer play session anyway? How do you feel about daily incentives in general? Are they a fun little bonus to something you're doing anyway, or an annoying little chore you feel like you 'have' to do?
Is there anything else worth doing daily that I missed here?
....Is this entirely too many questions to have in a single thread??
