Here's a good video that highlights some of the advantages/disadvantages of playing without gyro/motion controls, even teams like Squid Memories (Winners of Inkstorm) and Squidbox (winners of Booyah Battles and other tournaments) have players who use stick-aim. Remarkable

I can't tell you how many teammates I've protected while they're super jumping and they would never do the same to me...

I then proceed to annoy them in every way possible.
