Terence ran to catch up to Viola, stopping and looking at Lydia with concern, who had her hand over her heart.
"Lydia, are you alright?" He asked concerned, before turning to Viola. "At least you didn't give her a heart attack. My friend's dad, isn't too kind in that respect, he's cruel joker."

"Yeah, we notice you kind of looked sad. So we thought about lightening up your mood!" He added quickly.

 

[Ayykari]

"I think they're at the cabins or the mess hall," Lumea responded. "Probably. I don't really know..." Her voice quieted as she finished her thought as she continued to fidget. She still didn't know if she had upset Lucas somehow in the mess hall. It bothered her, but she didn't really want to bring it up. Regardless, the words awkwardly tumbled out of her mouth.

"Er, sorry if I upset you back in the mess hall... If I did, that is. Which I don't know if I did," she mumbled, looking sideways at the ground. She mentally slapped herself in the face after saying it, but the words had already been spoken, so she just stood awkwardly and waited.

[Lydia]

Lydia slowly looked between Terence and and Viola, letting out a small sigh as she pushes herself up to her feet, brushing off her outfit "I-it's fine... that was certainly a distraction..." she says, her cheeks still slightly red "Thanks... both of you."

"St-Still....I'm sorry...." She said, ashamed that she scared Lydia so much. She was only trying to lightly surprise her.

Serena looked back at April. "Im gonna go ahead and catch ya later on the trail. Im tired of waiting already." She said, as she pulled her back on her back and headed towards the trail. Soon, she found herself with Viola and Lydia, whom she had not met yet. She kept quiet, trying not to startle them.

[Lydia]

"S-seriously... It's fine..." She says, lightly patting her on the shoulder and smiling "I appreciate the company, still... let's keep walking." She says, oblivious of the new Inkling observing them in the distance.

 

[Serena Inkwell]

The inkling had came up, wondering about where this whole trip would go, but focused on them. "Im Serena. You wouldnt mind if I joined you guys, would you?"

Terence turned to the newcomer. "Oh uh... I think you would need to talk to the chaperones for the hike. But if you were talking about just talking," He turned to the other two, looking for some support. "It's up to them."

Viola looked at Serena and, her mind feeling better from Lydia's reassurance and her hair returning to it's standard shade of purple, held her hand out to Serena. "Sure! We haven't met yet, so of course you can! I'm Viola!" She said, giving a big smile.

"I'm Terence, it's nice to meet you Serena." He introduced himself, holding his hand out too, until he realized Viola was doing the same. "If you don't mind me asking you, but are you a newcomer?"

 

[Lydia]

Lydia looked over to the new Inkling, blinking in surprise. Huh... older than most of us here... she's either one of those Redjacks or a senior back at school... she thinks to herself before slowly bowing to her "I'm Lydia. Nice to meet'cha."

 

[Zerul]

Zerul nods and heads out quickly catching up with Viola. "Hi"

Terence's mood darkened almost instantly when he heard Zerul's weedy, little "Hi" enter the quartet, turning it into a quintet. "And here I was... hoping for a nice little group chat." He grumbled.

"Then he had to come around..." He scornfully looked at Zerul, scoffing quietly.

 

[Zawlt]

Around this time Zawlt had been walking so long his feet were in pain from it. He was currently sitting near a tree with his backpack next to him giving his feet some rest. He had heard a scream of yet another girl nearby, but he didn't recognize the voice whatsoever. "Must be Lucas pulling ANOTHER prank on someone, I'll just stay out of it," he thought as he placed his hands behind his head. Several moments later he heard more voices, but this time they were closer. He looked to his left and noticed Viola along with three other inklings and the approaching octoling, though two of them he at least recognized. "Huh, was wondering when someone would catch up," Zawlt said looking straight ahead.

Viola looked over. "Oh! Hey Zerul! We were just meeting the new squid here! She got in after you!" Viola said, smiling at him as he ran up.

Zerul shoots Terence a rather mean look. "Ok. This is going to be fun." he tries his best to keep his anger under control.

 

[Serena Inkwell]

Serna started to feel a bit dizzy, dazed by how many people were around, and she had became the center of attention for the moment. "Newcomer? What doed that mean? Ive been here for a while and Im not sure what anything here means..."

 

[Lydia]

Lydia looked over to Zerul, waving before both his and Terence's mood seem to darken. She blinked in surprise, wondering what could've happened between the two to make them hate each other so quickly, but she decided it was better not to ask.

Serena started to blush, becoming very shy of everybody, and she started to take small steps back.

Terence crossed his arms, looking back at Serena "You've been here for a while? I thought you were a student at Zapfish, not that you had a job here?" He asked her, confused at what she said.

"What I mean is... Are you a student at Zapfish Academy?" He asked her. "Um... don't try to dodge the question by backing away." Terence said, when he noticed her shyly backstepping away from them.
