So... with that tier list coming out, I'll just come out myself and say it... Tier lists like those DON'T WORK for Splatoon
at the very least, in my humble opinion.
HOT TAKE:
Even though X Rank is supposed to be an ''Extreme rank'' where only the best of the best can get there, it doesn't live up to this expectation at all, people shouldn't force themselves to get there and make a huge deal out of it.
Once you get there, there's not really a reason to go...
Elecmaw beat me to it, but when you look at the Custom Range Blaster, the original datamine's kit was way better, but instead Nintendo changed it last minute to give it what may be the worst possible special for Range Blaster, on top of a sub that does not combo that well with the Main or the...
That kit in itself is not bad, but I feel like it's going to be one of those cases where it is just going to be outclassed.
The regular Tri Slosher has arguably a better kit, at least right now in this meta and there are other inkstorm weapons that also paint really well and spams it for days...

A problem that I have with the Tetras and the Gloogas is that you have to work way too hard for what would've been an easy kill for any other weapon, considering that you have to use your rolls for the weapon to be efficient. I tried the Tetras yesterday and it felt like I couldn't challenge...
It makes it that it fires for even longer than what it was in Splat 1; 3.6s/55 shots in Splat 1, 3.2s/49 shots in Splat 2, and it goes up to 4.03s/61 shots post patch
It helps slightly with painting, dps a.k.a fighting Bubbles, and the Rainmaker Shield, that extra 0.8 seconds of fire will help...
Though I've been feeling rather down with the game lately, my team hit me up for a quad tonight and the results were totally not what we expected, aha!
That's one way to make me feel better about all that.
