Lol @ all those people saying "this isn't fair" and "RIGGED". Seriously, what's the alternative? Splatfests aren't supposed to be a popularity contest. And if you really want to play against the opposing team, maybe, just maybe consider not choosing the team that everyone and their dog is...
Hm, so it seems like the new Dual Squelcher has the same name in Japanese but was specifically named "Dualie Squelcher" in English for some reason. Don't know what to think about the localisation here, I kinda like the idea that it's the exact same weapon with a different setup that takes the...
The New Dual Squelcher!
It's going to be released on July 29th (tomorrow).
This is the new version of the old weapon with the same name. In this game, it is a long-range Dualie variant. After sliding, your Inkling puts the two weapons together.
Sub: Point Sensor
Special: Tenta Missiles...
Spikys service = different subs; is the same all the time
Annies service = different mains; different gears are being offered for limited periods of time
That's how I understood it.
I think it'll mainly be a cosmetic thing. If you really want a certain main ability on your gear but don't like how the respective piece of gear looks, you can get a fresher looking one from Annie. Considering how they're pushing the E-Sports angle for Splatoon, it'd be pretty dumb if there was...
Yeah, Marina's design looks great.
I missed about half of the Direct, but I liked all of the stuff I did see. The new weapon types were especially surprising - I tought that they'd already used up all creative space in that department, but it seems like they still had some ideas left. That's...
Having to be at least Level 4 and Salmon Run being event-based thing aren't two mutually exclusive things though. It could just as well be both and right now I'm thinking that's what it'll be.
However, they haven't really given a definitive answer yet, so there may be a sliver of hope...
Those T-Shirts are looking pretty fresh. I think I'd actually wear the black one regularly (the Uniqlo one is a bit too obviously "Splatoon" imo). The prices though ... maybe I would buy one if I was in Japan and had some money to spare, but there's no way I'll import them.
Also I don't know if...
So no Splatfests in Splatoon 2? I guess it makes sense since Callie is missing, but man, now I'll never be able to experience them myself. Those nighttime stages with the "glowy" ink looked really fun to play on.
Huh, that was ... surprisingly exciting. Actually didn't expect the Americans to win. But it seems like the Japanese aren't that much better after all when there are zero latency/lag issues. A few new maps were shown too. A pretty nice experience overall.
