So you guys, I picked up this rhythm game called Squid Beats 2! It's full price but oddly barebones. =*( No way to save my records, no way to play with friends or create dance crews, no VS modes, no story mode, no online—just pretty basic! But when I backed out of the game though, there was this weird shooter game expansion content called Splatoon 2 where all the development money went towards.

It's actually pretty fun! In fact, there's this friend mode called Private Battles I think I'll be playing this Saturday, August 12th @ 5:30PM PT/8:30PM ET (1:30AM BST/2:30AM) with the Spawn Point crew!

But that's not all! You're also welcome to join us as we cycle through the ranked modes and maps: playing, practicing, experimenting, improving, having fun, and lessening that salt comes with playing rank matches. And afterwards we'll chill, fool around in turf war, maybe do some league battles, and even grind in Salmon Run if it's available.

So if you're looking for some folks to play with, hit us up! And if the timezone is inconvenient for you, let us know, we'd like to have enough people to create an additional group session or two. =)

Yes! Very much so! We used to have an 8:30 PM BST/GMT match but eventually lost enough people playing around that time that it wasn't worth it any more. :(

Yep, this Saturday, August 19th @ 5:30PM PT/8:30PM ET (1:30AM BST/2:30AM) will be the weekly Private Battle session. We'll be cycling through the ranked modes and maps: playing, practicing, experimenting, improving, having fun, and lessening that salt comes with playing rank matches.

Think of it as less of a outright competitive practice session and more of a competitively casual training session. Maybe not as serious as some would like, but your skill level will still wind up improving. =p

So feel free to join us, even if it's just for one session, and we'll teach you the true meaning of love teamwork! Or something like that...

A chance to try out Kelp Dome in all the different rank modes. A chance to properly try out the heavy deco without dropping in rank. A chance to practice all the rank modes, all the maps, with whatever weapon you choose—with only a pinch of its usual salt.

Now that the latest Saltfest Splatfest is over it's back to The Spawn Point's regularly scheduled weekly Private Battle session!

But now with some added zing!

That's right, latest system update adds video capture!—granted it's only 720p@30fps for 30 seconds at a time, but it's a start.

Yet all the same, super jump on over this Saturday, October 21st @ 5:30PM PT/8:30PM ET (1:30AM BST/2:30AM) to play some private ranked battles with us! Good place to fool around with that new capture function after all, yeah? *nudgenudge winkwink nodnod hinthint* Eh?

Well if you're already finished (somehow), taking a short break, or waiting to get your copy, then how about journeying on over to Splatoon 2 and play some Private Battle matches with The Spawn Point crew this Saturday, October 28th @ 5:30PM PT/8:30PM ET (1:30AM BST/2:30AM)!!

In fact, along with this week's new weapon release—the return of the (neutered) Gold Dynamo Roller—we also got a new map to play on: Blackbelly Skatepark. Sometimes known in first Splatoon as Lagbelly Skatepark, or even Lagberry Saltpark by yours truly, we're gonna test and see if that name still sticks and what has changed as we play it and other maps in their various ranked configurations.

So c'mon over and join us as we swim down memory lane with hopefully less lag and none of the disconnects! =p

With the Hydra Splatling finally released last week, the circle has been completed. All of Splatoon 1's main weapons are present and accounted for!

Now to continue rolling out the really new weapons!

Like the Glooga Dualies with their hot glue gun inking action!

What is our Public Private Battle session? Well it's a neat, near weekly get together for members, and even nonmembers, to play ranked battles together and maybe some mini games time and audience permitting.

One part practice, one part testing ground, one part scrim, many parts fun! And it's a way to play ranked battles with less stress and salt! So all skill levels are welcome to participate! And membership is not necessary but enjoyment is. :p
