@Emperor2308 I was thinking about something in between middle and low. A new middle tide, I guess, going with a somewhat common headcanon that sea levels went back down in S3. Maybe it could have a low tide mechanic where the sea level goes down and you can get more of the stage. I don't imagine it would be great in Rainmaker or Tower Control, but hopefully Nintendo does my idea of having a different list of stages for each mode. I'd really like to see it in Turf War, having one Zone on each side would probably be cool in Splatzones, and the propeller's would probably be fun in Clam Blitz (the side-to-side propellers on Ancho-V are fun in Clam Blitz, but the rest of the stage is horrible in that mode).

@Saber A hide-and-seek mode would work really well with Splatoon's gameplay style. I'd think it would be especially cool if it was a Man Hunt kind of thing where there's one person who starts out as it and if they spat someone that person joins them. The match would end if the time runs out (victory for the hiders) or if everyone's on the same team (victory for the seeker). That wouldn't really work as a Ranked mode, and it would be cool to see another Regular mode besides Turf War.

Also, since there's a chance to make things better, why not add flick stick as an option? It would render y positioning irrelevant and allow for even more intense battles.

Here's an idea: Pearl's dad becomes the main villain in Splatoon 3 as a crazy billionaire who's mad at all the chaos and tries to use his wealth to take over the entire world and put it in an orderly manner. That would allow for a cool father vs. child scene, and I'd legitimately love it if Nintendo did something like that.

A really cool villain can also be a Salmonid Queen who's bent on annihilating and basically trying to cause extinction to both Inklings and Octolings. At first, she does it because they were stealing Salmonid eggs, but now she becomes power-hungry and has no mercy to anyone who denies her of what she wants, Salmonid or not.

I wish Miitomo was left as it was, it was glorious back in the day. I've missed Miiverse, but it looks like it was pretty similar when it comes to people posting whatever they wanted and being as edgy as possible. Still, they have official voice chat for their switch games, but it's implemented so poorly that I assume nobody uses it.
probably people that want to test it out and only those people (VERY FEW)

well, you've gotta think about nintendo as a company if the added a picture function for posts and people either hinted at illegal pornography or straight up posted it and nintendo can't have stuff like that as a platform and to moderate it would be a lot and inhumane to get rid of ever single post

An observation I made about people's favorite (and least-favorite...) stages has led me to a conclusion that Nintendo should do to avoid salt...

People who like Kelp Dome (me!) tend to also like Morray Towers. People who like Goby Arena tend to also like MakoMart. Recently (because of some annoying YouTubers... of course) I've been starting to see mini comment-section wars about stages, especially between the Dome fans and the Mart fans. I admit that I saw these arguments and couldn't help but join, being the salty stage idiot that I am. Though they were voted to be the Final Fest stages in Splatoon, there's now a lot of public haters of Dome and Morray, the spark of these dumb arguments. Judging by their preferences, the first side I mentioned seems to like stages that are fun in Turf War, while the other seems to just really like Tower Control. Stage salt is actually probably some of the worst salt in the community, so how should Nintendo stop this?

INCLUDE EVERY SINGLE GOSH DARN STAGE THAT'S EVEN BEEN IN THE SERIES. (maybe besides the Reef. It needs to go through the same pain as Urchin Underpass)

But aren't some too similar? And that wouldn't really work with Splatoon 3's chaotic theme, right?

Wrong!

Earlier I pitched ideas to change the stages Kelp Dome and Saltspray Rig to fit the chaotic environment. Nintendo said something about hiring someone to change old stages or something? I forget the message, but I think something like that would really calm the community down a bit. Aside from Splatfests, arguments about a greenhouse and a parking lot cause more anger than Girl Power Station. Redoing all the stages a bit would also help separate similar stages like Walleye Warehouse and Port Mackerel.

Rant over. *dies*

Kelp dome is a good map, but moray towers is one of the worst map designs I've ever ran into in a video game. I don't see how both of these maps are related.

I usually see them lumped together (along with Camp Triggerfish, but that one has less fans than Dome and Morray), but I'll write down your opinion, since new info's always helpful in making theories.

I personally haven't played enough Ranked to dislike Morray, but I'm sure Nintendo will keep it for marketing. It's a stage in Smash, and everyone loves things that get into Smash! They definitely know that Smash makes them money. To prove this, in the game Kirby and the Amazing Mirror (2003), Kirby is able to get a powerup that gives him his SSBM moveset, and Master and Crazy Hand appear in a boss fight. Pure marketing.

I personally hope they keep Moray, I really like Moray. It was actually voted to be one of the stages for splatfest in Callie vs Marie. Was voted as number one voted for in north America and Europe. Then was number two for other regions and number 4 in japan.

So, I don't think Moray is as bad as you seem to make it out to be. You probably just don't do as well on it as you do other maps.

I do like the idea of trying to somehow bring in every stage, even if that means revamping some and bringing them in later as a free update like they did for a few maps from 1 to 2.

I dislike moray towers because of how vertical it is and because it's a race to establish your presence on a cliff near the center of the map. Once you do so, you're nearly invincible. This sort of map design just doesn't work with Splatoon weapons that are borderline useless when shooting upwards. It's about as fair as certain shifty stations that encourage spawn camping due to how vertical they are near spawn points, but in this case the issue is the center of the map where objectives are.

Even though I haven't played ranked battles in a long time, I still remember how Tower Control and Clam Blitz were particularly awkward in Moray Towers, since for Clam Blitz, in particular, it enhanced the advantages of Brushes even more given the falloff damage is the main method of damage for Brush weapons. For Tower Control, it felt like as soon as you stepped off it, you would either fall off the stage completely or not have anywhere else to run because of how the narrow terrain. Either way, it was one of the few stages where weapon classes were favored no matter which mode it was played on, and that's a problem for a game that has multiple weapon classes.

Let's face it: There isn't a single map that's good in every single mode (counting Turf War). Some of the best Turf War stages have issues with Tower Control, and stages that are fun to sneak around in during Clam Blitz and Rainmaker tend to... also have issues with Tower Control. As for the stages that are actually good in Tower Control, most of them aren't that good in Tower Control, a lot of them aren't great in Turf War and Clam Blitz. Stages that are good in Splat Zones are the worst in Clam Blitz, and stages that are good in Rainmaker are often horrible in Splat Zones.

This is why I'm in favor of having certain maps unavailable for certain modes, tailoring some maps to particular modes instead of trying to design one layout that can be slightly adjusted to fit everything. Every map SHOULD be available in Turf War, though.

Personally I have a mixed relationship with moray, most chargers play it very campy while most roller brushes....spend the game try to destroy the charger. I mean I loved playing sneaky flanking changer and landing shot from the rails above or from random corners

In term of ranked mode I love how it plays on rainmaker tbh it feel the most balanced around that mode and splat zones
Tower control can easily be one sided and CB well is CB

Kelp Dome though I have always felt needs a redesign it is pretty cramped space and it honestly only takes two players to cut off 90% or at times all of the flanks to the center (depending on gamemode)

There's only one stage that I personally think is bad in Turf War: MakoMart. I've never gotten it in Ranked, but in Turf War I've never once played a match where my team wasn't dominated there. There's no hiding spots or walls to get around, and it doesn't have a unique shape or anything. There's way too much open space, and using a brush there is extremely irritating since it's filled with random boxes. I guess the reason I hate MakoMart is the same reason I love Kelp Dome now I think about it. I like being sneaky.

I have mixed feelings about Mako Mart, I like the setting in which it takes place in but some of the layout choices bother me, especially when it makes it harder to pursue and splat targets that throw spammy stuff.
