And here's the weapons I promised! The page I decided to sketch them on already had a drawing of my Three Four and Eight on it, so there's them. I also drew a few other things I thought would be cool to have in S3, like playable Cuttlefish, Hypnoshade Replicas, and more. (Note: I changed the "Dusterbrush" to the "Cuttlebrush" to fit with the Ink and Octo brushes.)

Sorry if it's a little hard to read. I'll say some of the details here (clicking on it may make it better).

The Spit Bucket is an old rusty bucket spruced up by Ammo Knights. An arrow sticker the color of your ink points upwards to show you ink/octoling which way to hurl it. It's simple hurl has your character throw their arms upwards while holding the bucket. This will result in ink surrounding and shielding them for a second before falling to the floor. Hurling it midair throws ink behind them. It's sub is an Autobomb (if they return), and it's special is that multi-stream ink thingy shown in the S3 trailer.

The Cuttlebrush is an odd brush that looks and works like a broom. It was first invented in a small Cuttling (humanoid cuttlefish) village but was recently introduced to Splatsville. In contrast to the modern design of the Inkbrush and the dystopian design of the Octobrush, the Cuttlebrush is much less flashy, though versions with traditional patterns exist where it comes from. It has a mason jar-like tub of ink at the top, two handles (so that both righties and lefties can use it) in the middle, an edgy sticker on the side, and spike on the edges of the bottom for fluent sideways motion. Its basic fling has your character sweep the brush across the ground from side to side. Some ink goes in front of them, and a little goes behind, but it's range is terrible, unless you fling midair. Doing this has your character fling the brush forwards with about as much range as an Octobrush. As for the dash, it's slower but wider than an Octobrush, but still faster and smaller than a Carbon Roller. Its sub and special are Carling Bomb and and a Burst Bomb Launcher, if they return.

And that's it. Finally done.

Anything else I should draw? I've been considering making a drawing of Marie as the NSS leader and and Agents doing whatever they're doing now. I'm open to anyone's requests and ideas.

I was considering drawing Shark (one of my tougher OCs in both personality and skill, him being a Ringed Elite Octoling and all of that) alongside his Steelhead pet (or roommate, either way, the Steelhead serves as a bodyguard against sneaky sucker punchers due to its scales acting like armor) in Splatsville since Shark only comes to this city to train in more extreme settings to keep his sniping skills from dulling as those skills are a huge part in keeping the Octarian neighborhood (the safe haven for both Octolings and the tentacle Octarians) in Inkopolis safe. He actually lives in Inkopolis (in the Octarian neighborhood) and not Splatsville.

Sorry for double-posting, but I think I need to say this: Don't make community posts require having social media because I just think that's dumb for many reasons. I haven't made a single community post in Splatoon 2 because it requires FaceBook or Twitter, and I for one, refuse to make a Twitter account no matter how much Nintendo tries to make me have one.

Okay, so I'm done another two pages of concepts. The first idea was a request by @Emperor08 ! There's only one new weapon this time, but I put extra effort into it. Of the weapons I've done so far, I like the design for the Spit Slosher the best, I'd be most likely to use the Cuttlebrush online, and this new one, the Thief Bow, is by far the most unique concept of them.

20210309_102443.jpg
[The other image is too big; I'll upload it in a separate post]

The Thief Bow is a rather unique weapon, as it fires its arrows in a horizontal row rather than vertical, like a triple crossbow. However, by far the biggest difference between it and other bows (for what we've seen, at least) it that its arrows stick to whatever they hit. That can be floors, walls, and even other players. Getting hit by a Thief Bow arrow will be like a time bomb stuck to you, but quickly going in your ink before it explodes gives you a chance of escaping. If the arrows hit grates they explode instantly. In most ways they're like mini Suction Bombs. Additionally, it has a shorter range but fires quicker than the bow shown off in the S3 trailer (Splat Bow?).

As for the gear I've shown off, let's start with the Foil Mask. The Foil Mask is a fencing mask made by Forge with the main ability Bomb Defense Up. The fabric around the mask changes color depending on your team, as the mask would cover the tentacles for a lot of haircuts.

The Trash Boots, made by Annaki, are worn-out gray rain boots covered in dust. One boot has duct tape wrapped around it and an Inkling word written around the edge, while the other is ripped and bears the Annaki logo. Their main ability is Special Saver.

The Icy Urban Vest. Like the other Urban Vests, this gear was made by Firefin. It has the main ability Quick Respawn (the best ability), and is on the fancier side of Firefin gear.

The final piece of gear we'll be going over has the main ability Swim Speed Up and was made by Skalop. It's the Pumpkin Beanie! The Pumpkin Beanie is an orange knitted hat with a green stem, leaf, and vine coming out of the top to make it look like a pumpkin.

The last thing I drew this time is something I'm legitimately proud of. In Splatoon 3, what better way to get replicas of Agent 3, 4, and 8's gear than through the Agents themselves? Agent 8 basically already has one for both styles, but what about Three and Four? Well, look no further than above these words to the images of those two that I drew. I didn't have enough space on the page to draw them in both styles, so I only have the masculine-styled versions of them. If you look closely, you may notice that I used a glitter gel pen to draw Four's ink. I also positioned them in a weird handstand-flip-kick pose since Octo Canyon has your character do some insane backflips. I gave Three a much more simple but intimidating pose. Though most Splatoon Amiibos have a single ink puddle (or crazy splash if you're an idol), I gave Agent 3 two. One is normal ink and the other is sanitized. This is Squidboards, so most of you here should get the reference to that. Going with the half-sanitized theme, I also made one of their tentacles teal and the other green, and one of their eyes turquoise and the other brown. As for what the Amiibos would give you, I imagine the feminine-styles ones would give you the basic replicas and half of their campaign's OST (if Squidbeatz returns; I hope it does...), and the masculine-styled ones would give you the armor replicas and the other half of their OST.

I know this isn't a thing many people think will happen, but I sure as h*ll hope Nintendo sees this post.

Kelp Dome needs to return, and here's why:
Not many people talk about this stage, but it's super important to the game. If Nintendo is bringing back old stages at all, this beauty needs to be among them. Any stage besides Mako Mart would be okay to return (god I hate Mako Mart), but this one holds a special importance.

This stage would be easy to bring back, since the Octarians happen to have a clone of it. Any stages that appear in Octoling levels could reappear with the excuse "If the Octarians have a clone of it, why can't the people of Splatsville?". Additionally, it's one of the best stages for both Rainmaker and Clam Blitz, as it has a simple shape, lots of obstacles to hide behind, and a short pillar in the center for the Rainmaker to sit that isn't hard to access. As for the issue of "its Splatzone is too big and going under a grate in Tower Control distorts your camera", simply remove it from the rotation of those modes. It's also a great stage for newbies in Turf War because it's always easy to tell who's winning due to it basically being a perfect square. A lot of people also want a battle royale mode, and a multi-storied square filled with hiding spots would be PERFECT for that.

Another great thing about it is that unlike a lot of other indoor stages (LIKE MAKO MART), its ceiling is super high, and it's Splatoon and Splatoon 2 respawn point are already up in the air. Why is this important? You wouldn't be able to launch into battle on a low-ceiling stage. Launching into battle on the Dome wouldn't be much different than respawning on it already is, but just with less spawn-camping. Going back to the topic of "it's awesome cuz it's a square", it's shape, as well as the fact that it basically has two stories and doesn't have a direct path to the center makes it one of the most unique stages in the game. You may be thing, "But Pio, a square isn't creative at all!". Well, most of the game's stages are just a bunch of rectangles thrown together to make weird shapes, exceptions being the rounded Blackbelly Skatepark and zigzaggy Morray Towers, which should also return. Again, think of Mako Mart. It is literally just a failed attempt at pixel art with a few blocks thrown in. It's a like a budget Walleye Warehouse without unique paths. Kelp Dome is the only stage to be a basic convex polygon with the details on the inside rather than the edges. This also gives you several different routes for sneaking around and painting turf without the opponents even knowing. And don't you think a modern desert civilization would grow food in a greenhouse? A clone of Kelp Dome would make a lot of sense there.

Now, my final reason for why it needs to return. This is the most important reason of all.

There aren't many stages that cater mainly to Brushes and melee Sloshers. There's a few Charger heavens, Shooters and Rollers do good on basically every stage, some are good for Dualies, some for Blasters, some for Brellas. But very little stages are good for Brushes, and I can't think of any besides one that Sloshers are best at (okay maybe besides Shelendorf Institute, but we don't talk about that). I'm talking about the Dome. Whether you're rocking an Octobrush in Clam Blitz or tri-sloshing enemies to death in Turf War, Kelp Dome is to melee weapons as Morray Towers is to ranged weapons, and many people don't see that. Its flat-grounded layout it perfect for dashing brushes (and rollers), and the intricate system of grates allows Sloshers to sneak some good kills by utilizing that class' mechanics. By taking away the Dome, you take away part of the community. Thank you for listening to my rant.
And Nintendo, please notice this.

I just had a thought, what if the Octarians are our allies this time around? They need energy sources and well, Salmonids going extinct would be a bad thing for them since it's confirmed that Salmonids produce Power Eggs needed to power Octarian domes.

I think you've got an idea going there, Cephalobro. Post-Spicy Inkantation, there aren't really any bad Octarians anymore (cuz Octavio is a complete GENIUS and decided to bring basically every Octarian to a concert featuring one of the Squid Sisters and the other would obviously come to rescue the other), and I can definitely imagine the player having Octotrooper allies.

Honestly I am curious if they will be adding some more modes to ranked

Some mode I think many have been clamoring for is a MOBA style mode where players escort octoling or salmanoids troopers to towers in order to destroy towers and get to the enemy teams crystal or spawn

Also the 8 ball mode which we had see in the S2 files but was never added to the game, I mean it did need some adjustments but it did seem like another unqiue mode for the game

Personal I have wanted a invisible ink mode for causal where all ink both teams and enemy is invisible so it requires both sides to be more strategic in their inking

Lastly if Salmon run or some other PvE mode makes a return I really would love see more bosses maps, and so forth, cuz the original just felt like a grind for gear after the first few months

The original post I just wrote got deleted because my computer shut off for no good reason! I'll try to recall everything I had said.

I love how Splatoon 2 has two different stories with plots and gameplay unique from each other. You can travel through a canyon on a grand rescue mission as Agent 4, or you can work hard to escape a trial facility as Agent 8. Both of them are awesome. Because of this, I thought it would be cool if Splatoon 3 had four story modes. One mode similar to Octo Canyon, one similar to Octo Expansion, one like both, and one like neither. Additionally, two of them you could start with, one you could unlock from beating both, and the last one would be paid DLC. I'll probably make a different post for each mode, so I'll start with a mode similar to Octo Canyon that the player starts with: Octo Conquest.

Octo Conquest: Plot, concept, gameplay

Concept:
The City of Chaos is at its peak in juvenile activity. Well, it was, until Squids, Octopode, and their Salmon friends began to vanish in great numbers. Who could be behind this? Why would someone do this? How will you save the city? It's up to the player to find out.
Gameplay: Gameplay-wise, Octo Conquest is very similar to Octo Canyon. In fact, it actually takes place in Octo Canyon, but a year and a half after the New Squidbeak Splatoon rescued Agent 1, the decorations and glittery ink are almost entirely gone. The levels have been changed and the Kettles reorganised in the case that the NSS were ever to return. Salmonids serve as the basic enemies, and other cephalopod kids with a variety of weapons fill most of the other roles. Instead of getting Zapfish, each level has a bundle of Golden Eggs waiting at the end for you to take back to Tentakeel Outpost. Different weapons are also still supplied by Ammo Knights! Bosses, which still take place in circular arenas, give you larger bundles. Octoling levels return as well, except there's also Inklings. Instead of a bunch of eggs at the end, the eggs are scattered all over the place. The Octavio fight takes aspect from both Valley and Canyon's modes, as it's not only challenging but also cinematic. You'll see why in the plot section.
Plot: It all begins when a news story comes out warning the public of the mass disappearance of Splasville squidizens. While walking around the hub world, the player might encounter a manhole with a suspicious sign above it. Approaching the sign and hitting A reveals that the sign says "free candy". If the player enters, they'll appear in Tentakeel Outpost, but without all the decorations and stuff. And look someone's standing there! They were probably waiting for you. It's... Pearl? Unlike How Four had no clue who Marie was, the player recognises Pearl as a bringer of chaos and respects her. Pearl informs the player that she is the official "Lethal Voice and Last Line of Defense" for the New Squidbeak Splatoon, and the Captain wanted her to tell the player to help save Splatsville as Agent 5. She takes their "confused silence" as a yes, which was also an instruction from the Captain. And thus, Agent 5 sets out on a quest to save their city. As Five traverses through the different sectors of Octo Canyon, they learn new things about the adventure after each boss fight through radio cutscenes (I love those). The first one's just saying that the players doing good and all that stuff, and questioning if the kids and Salmon you fight are the ones that went missing. After beating the second boss, the topic changes to a message from the Captain. Unfortunately, Pearl forgets part of the message, but tells the player all she remembers, which is basically that the Captain wanted her to tell them a bit of history of the NSS, so the player gets a brief summary of the past three story modes. Once Five returns to Tentakeel Outpost to drop off all off the Suction Cup Lookout eggs, they notice a photo of the NSS (the one from that art where Four's in the corner trying to take a selfie). This allows you to customize what the Agents look like; they'll come up later. In the third cutscene, Five gets to meet the Captain herself! First she asks Pearl if she explained what happened to Agent 5, and Pearl admits she forgot. The Captain sighs, and tells them that the kids and salmon that they fight are in fact the ones that went missing. She ensures them that they're all just hypnotized and they have respawns, so you're not killing innocent people. She then goes to explain that Agents 3 and 8 were among the missing children, and Agent 1 vanished without saying anything recently, but no one's sure if that's related to the rest of the disappearances or not. She ends the call by saying that she gets it if Five is confused or overwhelmed by the whole Agent situation, as she herself used to be Agent 2. With that she hangs up. For the fourth and final call, Pearl mentions the crazy amount of eggs you've collected and wonders what the actual heck the bad guys need that many eggs for, but her comment is interrupted by a bit of static, followed by none other than DJ Octavio complaining about how there's always another Agent, and then telling Agent, wait, what's your number? Five, huh? that they won't stop him from conquering Splatsville, no matter what. Once he leaves, Pearl notes that the dude who just said that was DJ Octavio, and the Agents have beaten him several times so they shouldn't worry, but she does say his plan's a little more hardcore than usual. After beating all the basic levels in Cephalon HQ, the boss kettle opens and you can now enter. This time, since Ammo Knights is simply supplying the weapons and Sheldon doesn't need research, you can choose any of the Hero Weapons to fight the boss. Octavio's first phase is relatively similar to his fight in Octo Valley. Five chases him down a complicated system of platforms and he uses a variety of attacks, some from Valley, some from Canyon, and some new ones (his mech now has four arms). However, before the second phase, he leads you to a circular platform and two figures appear behind him in his mech: Three and Eight, looking like how you customized them and both dressed like the enemy uniforms. The second phase has you fight Agent 8. Eight skillfully wields an Octoshot and uses an Inkjet every now and then. Once you beat them their hypnosis wears off (the Inkantation's basically eternally in their head) and they thank you. The third phase fittingly is against Agent 3, and Eight helps you out. Once you beat Three they end up falling unconscious, as the Inkantation isn't burned into their brain the way it is for Eight. Before the final phase starts, Eight signals to Five to fight Octavio. Your character nods, and Eight picks up Three and superjumps away to wake them up. The final phase is still in the arena from the Agent fights. The phase is basically impossible. However, if Agent 5 gets splatted, instead of respawning the game goes into a cutscene. Five is lying on the ground and Octavio is sitting in his mech acting evil, but before he can deliver a final attack, a single suction bomb appears on the front of his mech. He's able to back up before it explodes, and once it does he gets back to the front and sends all four of the mech's arms in different directions to find out where it came from. They're all knocked back, knocking Octavio out of it. It is then that the mystery attacker reveals themself. A voice says "I've been waiting a year and a half to do this" before a hooded figure jumps into the arena and splats Octavio with a Hero Roller. The person's hood falls off. Callie stares at the ground with a satisfied grin for a bit, then helps Five up and lets them claim the huge supply of Golden Eggs Octavio had left after most were taken at the end of missions. Now that the New Squidbeak Splatoon have saved a city once more, the Team Hacker who just finished a mission with another Agent is able to hack into every speaker and radio in Octo Canyon, allowing the Calamari Inkantation to play for all the hypnotized kids and salmon, freeing them. Play credits.

-------------

But where's Agent 4, and what was the "Team Hacker" doing while Five was on their adventure? Find out in the other starting mode, Grizzly Den.
